Need computer help

ok so recently I decided to torrent a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and after the install all of my files were moved to a "Windows.old" file and everything else was reset. No internet connection, or access to administration options.

Sorry if this is random or goes against any rules, but I didnt know who else to turn to since I can't talk to anyone else about it.

If anyone needs any other info I'll let inform you. I appreciate any help.

Edit: at my grandparents house currently using their computer to burn a repair disc I found online the Microsoft forums so im gonna see if this work equally the same

 

This didn't seem to help restore my computer back to its former self.

Everytime I used the command prompt to move a file from the Windows.old file I just got the same "system cannot find the file specified" message. Nothing was moved, despite the folder definitely being there.

Basically what is going on right now is this. The files from before my computer was gorked are, as you know, in my Windows.old folder. I see that my drivers were wiped on a new windows "upgrade" so subsequently, important things like network and screen resolution aren't working properly.

Screen itself can only go up to a resolution of 1400 x 1050 on a display on "Generic PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and as for my internet, it says it doesn't detect a properly installed network adapter. Saying I need to "reinstall the driver."

I feel like I may not be able to restore this with my amateur self.

 

Why were you trying to torrent windows 7 in the first place?

 

The problem is you're torrenting and expecting everything to work fine, that is never going to be the case, especially for such huge things like OS's. Either go with one of the Linux-based ones (I don't know much about Linux but from what I've heard it's pretty much a free OS base with stuff like SteamOS and Gentoo running on it) or buy a new copy of Win7/8.1. Not a bad idea considering Win10 will be free to 7/8.1 users.

No totally kidding. It's a very VERY dumb reason as to why I actually downloaded that shit and to the point which I never actually needed to download a Win7 computer fuck bomber B12. I think we're gonna need to send my comp in for repair unless I or my dad can fix that shit. Any help would be appreciated as always guys, thanks for trying to help me out.

My computer issue has been resolved, however I didn't decide to save my old files so my computer is running a lot smoother than it was originally.
