HL2RP Need help joining HL2RP server, don't know how

    Hello, sorry this may be a noob-ish question, but I have know idea how to join an HL2RP server. I have Half-Life 2 and Synergy installed on my computer, do I need anything else? Does it use a different game entirely, such as Garry's Mod? I would really like to play an HL2RP server, but I just don't know how to. Also, if it is no trouble, does anyone have recommendations of popular HL2RP servers? Again, sorry for noob question, I am new to this. Thanks for any possible help.

    Its on the game Garry's mod yes, just boot it up and search for the CW: HL2RP category after clicking "Multiplayer" and you should find some good servers. No download is required for anything usually you should have CounterStrike: Source installed.

    Ok, thanks. I don't have gmod, but I might get it soon. Also, why do I need CS: Source?

    You don't need it but unless you want purple and black checkers everywhere from missing textures and models I suggest getting it, its cheap anyways.
