Thank you to those who have helped make this server happen. A few members here in the Cloud Sixteen forum have provided me the necessary tools and resources to develop what is looking to be an exceptional metro RP server.

I welcome everyone to check out the server and hopefully get in one of our great staff ran RP events! We are looking for well experienced role-players, but welcome brand new players and we are always happy to help them.

I was a director in 3 different communities, the longest lasting over 3 years. I don't know if I want to apply, though. My new community is just around the corner, in July/August.

Through this post I have already gotten someone to begin work on the script itself, the rest would be primarily modifications to the same script. Currently it will work as a Metro RP, however, there is plenty of time for options, changes, etc.

Diablo, I don't demand a lot of time, nor any of it, just people who are interested in contributing. If collaboration is to be made, that will be done when it comes up. In addition, I fully intend to have this server up in the next 2-3 weeks, 4 weeks max.

This would be an awesome scenario. In all honesty, a map would not be hard to find, and we could easily get the mods put together to have a basic beginning. I would want a community to grow and actually help with development directly.
I have already seen many weapons, and models that will work. Vehicles would be a huge development to undertake, but would really set the server above many others. Factions -> Family's
Ranks and other IC stuff is fairly basic. I believe a New York or Chicago style map (big city) would due. It does not need to necessarily historically relate. Also, a mapper will be available and we will use the community to develop a "dream" map.


This could run in unison with a Metro server as well. The custom development of a Mafia style server will take significantly longer. I would like to keep it fairly open-beta though. Get feedback from the very beginning.

I'll pass on applying. You seem to have things tight pretty well. No such thing as me needed in. A blunt son of a bitch that knows how to put youngsters in their place.

I shall see to a new community, that'll need my help, where the staff is derailed, and more of it.

I am happy to say the community is born and our first server is online and already having reasonable growth for no advertising.

I invite anyone to come on the server and give any kind of feedback you can. We will be continuing to develop, particularly over the next couple of weeks. A lot of the server still needs polishing, and we know this, but a lot already looks great and will only be improved upon.

Yes, I have a key and have paid etc etc. I am hardly concerned over a few dollars.

But Fayz I have played on your server and enjoyed it for the most part. It actually got me excited to start my own that was U.S. based and not EU. Also the new rp_metros you use is a great map. I have been designing a map of my own for a while, but having trouble settling on a final idea. :

Ah! Another Metro server! Well good luck with your community and I agree with Fayz, stations got old FAST. Use stantisya or whatever it's called or ask AtomicFail to see if you can have permission to use their rp_metros map. Metro is a lot of fun to base a schema about but it can be truly difficult at the same time. If you need any help, feel free to ask the CloudSixteen community!

 

Did you ask for permission to use rp_metros? That is a property of Last Refuge..

I know stations will get old quick, I do not intend to use it long. However, I am putting a reasonable amount of work to keep it entertaining. People are enjoying it so far.

I have a surface + metro, fitting of the actual metro map under mock-up and design that should hopefully be very fitting into the future, it will just take a lot of development May need some help lol.

I'd suggest not using a rather similar name for your community.

I thought that at first, but hes right if its not a abbreviation its probs best if you changed it.

 

A little late to make the suggestion, I really have no intent to change the name. It is not designed to reference "Apex".

It would hardly produce a likely domain swap due to a typo, etc.
