    Nitrix RolePlay
Hello, before I will introduce my community I would like to introduce myself, so you get to know me a little bit better before you decide who you are playing with. I’m commonly known under the name Max or Maximus, I’m owner of Nitrix RolePlay. I’ve been into servers before, and I think I can say I got some knowledge of making servers by now, but I can’t say either that those servers were anything comparable to servers like Lemon Punch or other servers that booked alot of success. I’ve always had small servers, with a small staff and mostly the regular players. I want to do this again, keep a small but fun and entertaining community with its ups and downs like any server. Hereby I would like to introduce Nitrix RP, with WW2rp.

    The community
NitrixRP is a small RolePlay community that has merged with very small and older communities. Ex-staff members of different communities come together in this community and so do the remnants of Valeika Gaming. The post of Valeika Gaming should be in this section somewhere too. The community is small and friendly, most players have met before and are very open to new players.

    WW2rp

    The storyline
It’s 1942, the Germans had invaded the Soviet Union under Stalin, Operation Barbarossa was a huge success. Taking a lot of territory from the Soviet Union, but the fear of the Germans was time. All the Russians needed was time to move their industries further behind their lines, tanks and aircraft are produced daily to fight the invading German forces and it is only becoming more. This results in a complete exhaustion of the German invading forces when it reaches its full extent in the Soviet Union, at Stalingrad German forces and Soviet forces are fighting over a city that was reduced to rubble and ruins by German aircraft. Here at the Battle of Stalingrad, we zoom in and RolePlay the very first start of the battle of Stalingrad on Nitrix’s WW2rp. Here we will decide who the winning power will be of World War Two.

    Factions:

    The Red Army

    Exhortation, Organization, and Reprisals
    [IMG]
    Ranks: Private/Efreitor/Junior Sergeant/Sergeant/Senior Sergeant/Sergeant Major/Junior Lieutenant/Lieutenant/Senior Lieutenant/Captain/Major/Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel-Major General-Lieutenant/General/Colonel General

The Red Army is the national army of the Soviet Union, unprepared they were attacked by German invasion forces, but as soon as the Soviet Union moves their production further behind lines the Red Army was strenghtened by new divisions, tanks and aircraft which greatly exhausts the Wehrmacht and makes the Red Army one of the largest military powers in the world.

    The Wehrmacht
    Gott mit uns
    [IMG]
    Ranks:
    Schutze/Oberschutze/Gefreiter/Obergefreiter/Stabsgefreiter/Unteroffizier/Unterfeldwebel/Feldwebel/Oberfeldwebel/Stabsfeldwebel/Leutnant/Obertleutnant/Hauptmann/Oberstleutnant/Oberst/Generalmajor/General

The Wehrmacht was at the begin of the war a military superpower with new technologies and tactics, making it the most dangerous and feared fighting force in the world. By it’s invasion on the Soviet Russian it booked many successes but the longer the war continued the more exhausted the Wehrmacht became, veteran troops making space for inexperienced draft soldiers.

    The server
WW2rp has not been put online yet, as we first want to reach the milestone of about 25-30 character sheets to make sure we have proper organized armies. This is to ensure a properly filled server and properly functioning server, as some classes depend on each other (riflemen depend on their squad leader and the squad leader depends on his riflemen). The server also requires a entry application which is a small form you have to fill out and post on the forums in order to properly play on the server. This is to ensure no abusive minges or players with bad intentions will ruin the RolePlay experience for players.

    Historical accuracy on the server

The server is mostly historically accurate, we have decided to keep some of the ‘unit types’ out of it such as battalions and platoons. We also decided to remove some specialization types for now such as anti-tank soldiers, tank crewmembers and a-like to prevent a spread out of all RP talent where you will never see each other. (comparable to 9 rebels, 2 CPs and 1 citizen online on a HL2rp server)

    War system

The soldiers are ‘divided’ in three groups, enlisted, NCO’s and CO’s, enlisted are normal soldiers who follow orders. NCO’s are soldiers who command small groups of lower ranking NCO’s and enlisted soldiers. CO’s are full officers who mostly oversee a large group of NCO’s, higher ranking CO’s are tasked with overseeing groups of CO’s. CO’s are in close contact with most staff members during an event so they have an idea on what to do or what they could do. CO’s pass down their orders to NCO’s, and NCO’s will translate those orders into field work with the enlisted doing the base of it. Events play off regularly, and the choices of a player have effect on the server. If you shoot a tank on a bridge, the tank will remain there destroyed. If you capture a Russian establishment, Germans will occupy it, shoot a German CO and they will have none for an amount of time disrupting their chain of command.

    Our policy
We don’t appreciate any form of edginess, such as S2K because you feel like it, edgy descriptions, edgy backstories. In WW2 you have a 99% you are a 17-21 years old soldier who was given a rifle and battle orders.

Every time you die we will not PK you unless you have committed suicide. You will be name changed at all times, ranks are difficult to get on the server and will feel like an accomplishment, with a simple name change you will not lose your rank after a lot of work for it. However NCO’s and CO’s who abuse their ranks or misuse them (aka: punish for nothing, give shitty orders, behave shitty) will be demoted to the lowest rank without a second thought.

    FAQ:

Max, you’ve had other WW2rps, why make another one?
Because I am determined that this one will succeed, instead of walking the same path I have chosen to take a complete different direction, hopefully some change will work out.

    What happened to apocalypseRP?
It got taken down because our host decided it would be fun to take down the server every day for a few hours. Making up a new excuse everytime, draining the playerbase rapidly.

Can I have this and this rank?
If you wish to receive a certain rank, you can contact me and we will discuss it. I will not allow you to have two high ranks at the same time, to keep balance and keep positions open to other players. (If you are a Sergeant you can't have a Lieutenant either, you can only have one NCO or CO). You will also have to meet certain requirements. If you do not meet them, you will be demoted to an enlisted soldier, no exceptions, really. I like to specifically say that when I am looking for CO’s that I am looking for people with a basic understanding of the English language, knowledge about the Eastern War Theater during WW2 and a feel for ceremonies, patience and tactics. In NCO’s I seek people who can make good decisions, you directly have authority over players and you can almost decide if you send them to their deaths or if you send them to victory if you know what you are doing. I need people who make capable decisions and have a understanding of tactics and certain ways of attacking and defending. Contact me if interested, you can find multiple ways to contact me (steam, PM, etc)

officer …. and … are abusive, they do … and …. but I don’t want to get demoted by them, what do I do?
Contact me on steam, I will make sure the problem gets solved while you stay anonymous. Abusive CO’s or NCO’s might be present from time to time, to battle this phenomenan I need everyone’s support to gather proof and report to me. Don’t make forum posts or confront directly, it will only cause more problems, make sure someone like me can erase the abusive people.

I’m a rifleman but I really want to be a MG, but it’s a occupied position.
Sometimes this problem can’t be fixed, but during server growth more positions and squads become available. You can get transferred to another squad, or if more MG positions become available you will be able to become one.

My friend got promoted, but I did not, that is unfair!
Promotions are handed to people who play on the server mostly longer then 2 or 3 days with a fair amount of RolePlay skills. In-game skills do not mean [u[ anything [u[ if you killed 200 Germans or 300 Russians it doesn’t matter, these skills do not mean anything in the game, your actual RolePlay experience and skills matter to the officers, these get you promoted. There are only a very few exceptions, such as saving the lives of important comrades or sometimes you get a promotion for a task. But you shouldn’t walk up to a officer telling him about your accomplishment of executing three Jewish Red Army soldiers and shooting a deserting soldier.

When will the server get up?
When I have about 25-30 character sheets. Some kind of assurance for the staff that people are determined to play. If the goal isn't met, the server will obviously be taken down, or never made.

Why is the Gewehr 41 so uncommon? And the SVT-40, and where is the STG-44?
The Gewehr 41 was a rare weapon on the Eastern Theater, it was a luxury to have a Gewehr 41. The same for the SVT-40, not alot of Red Army soldiers had it. The STG-44 was produced in 1943 and used during 1944, due to this the STG-44 is a non-existant weapon yet on the server.

    End word
Thanks for reading the community page, if you have any feedback or questions feel free to post below. You are also free to contact me on steam for anything, like a question or casual chatter. I hope to see you with us!

This will be a good server is you manage to get a playerbase, I'll stop by and check this out. Do you have to Apply for whitelists or is it like LemonPunch's WW3RP were you chose when you join and apply for Medical,Sniper ect.

This seems interesting, I'll contact you soon.

EDIT: Is there content up yet?

Hey thanks man, yeah, there's content up.
    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=273240206

But I have to say that it is very experimental, you never know what models work with clockwork and what ones do not, so I will still be trying addons out, removing and adding some. If you have suggestions for the content pack, you can leave me a workshop link.
If you still wish to contact me, here's my profile = http://steamcommunity.com/id/11236101123/ :)

    EDIT:
Got to say, you might say I know what I'm doing, but I have to say I couldn't have gotten there without the help of my friends Panda, Lambda, BurgerDisorder and Hugable Fag who have helped me in more ways then one on the server. I couldn't have done it alone.

You will be able to make a "entry application" in which you describe what you wish to be, such as a Red Army rifleman. We will most likely assign you to the role you want, and we will give you a squad and company. That way you can make a character sheet and freely play on the server.
NOTE: Characters sheets and entry applications are very short and simple.
    Entry application: http://nitrix.boards.net/thread/3/server-whitelist
    Character sheets: http://nitrix.boards.net/thread/15/read-character-sheet

Alot of people strike me for someone who is lax on his rules, if you go to my forums you might find yourself surrounded by character sheets. If you can provide me a good reason, and that is for anyone, you might be able to skip the entry application. I'm sure people can sometime prove themselves in more ways then one.

    no.
An abusive CO irl wouldn't be like this for example, "all forces bayonets only, charge at enemy base". If you didn't follow you were shot or something stupid. It's easier to just say, "you're a shit CO/NCO, you're getting demoted as you have no idea what you're doing. ;)"

What Vodka said, some people aren't made to be NCO's/CO's or need more preparation before they actually become one. You can't give a player who does the opposite of what you ask him to do some IC punishment and then continue. In real life it would work, but really, in WW2rp it doesn't. Me and Vodka have seen this a gabillion times, we've seen abusive NCO's and CO's, best way to handle them is to erase them or make them enlisted and train them to be NCO's/CO's.

This post has only been up for a day, and the forums three. No worries!

  11. So many ranks......

Do you really think you'll get enough people to even fill a quarter of those? :/ There's just so many... It's a lot...

I agree, there are alot of ranks, but it gives you alot of space aswell as CO's. It allows you to promote people when they deserve it, when you are out of promotions after three of them and they are at the top of the command chain, you will find yourself stuck with good players on lower ranks, as you can't promote them as you will put them in a stuck position on high command. It takes alot of promotions to even get near the top of the chain of command, it allows me to be flexible, give out promotions to players almost twice a month, maybe three times a month. I personally really like the system, but if people protest the system I will remove some ranks and make promotions rarer.

So we have to apply to join or, do we have to apply to join a certon Armed Forces? AKA we join pick a side on the character creation menu then pick a faction e.g Nazis or Reds, then apply for corps like medical or snipers? I'm confused.....

  14. If there's so many ranks and not enough people to even remotely fill them, what's the point having the ranks though?
    Just unsure how it works.

You can find the server whitelist here, in other words, a entry application. In this entry application you put some basic info like steamID and alike. Then you put in what armed forces you wish to be part of and in what way (aka you ask to be a rifleman, or a MG, or a assault, or whatever) and then you will get accepted or denied.
    http://nitrix.boards.net/thread/3/server-whitelist

When you get accepted you will make a character sheet for the character you applied with, and go on the server to create it and play. That's how it works, and if you want more characters you make the shortened version of the entry application/server whitelist

  16. Charlie B. Barkin

Charlie B. Barkin Charlie B. Barkin

In my opinion, having an entry application will throw some people off. If you plan on having it long term, as in, after the server's up you might impact your playerbase. As of now, I think it's okay, but as for when it's up; I'd just stick with the character sheets.

I can understand if you think that about the entry applications, but it's more of a assurance for RolePlaying quality so not every minge can get into the server at midnight to ruin the experiences of players or make a wreckage of the server. I want to assure quality, plus the entry application is 3 minutes, but I will ask around about the entry application and possibly remove it.

Coming back to you Vodka, after really quick debates I've decided to remove the entry application. I will edit the main thread in a moment, the forums are already edited. You only need to make a character sheet and have it authorised, then you may create that character on the server and freely play it. With some rules (the obvious ones).

    Thanks for the suggestion!
