    Introduction

Omega Nine, created in early 2013, is a community founded to bring happiness and fun to servers, with 'realpolitik' (a term to describe non corrupt government, along with a free society) no matter what gamemode or subject we're tackling. We work our best to make sure that it's fun, interesting, and fresh, and that's what we plan on doing with our Half-Life 2 Roleplay.

Our server is set in Oslo, Norway, in February of 2019. The weather is moderate, colder than it usually is but warmer than the months before. We're running Clockwork, attuned to our tastes, whether it's custom to us or content that we've gotten somewhere else. We're working on implementing an even more environmentally immersive space, containing a variety of props to add to the map, along with weather for any time of the day.

Our canon encircles a new approach to how cities, factions, citizens, and the world functions.

These are the main factions of our server. If a Playerbased Faction (not including Anti-Citizen Groups) has a subforum, it will be present here.

    Citizens
Offices of City Administration and Development
    Civil Protection
    Universal Union Overwatch Transhuman Arm
    Union Labour Association
    Civil Employment Arm

    Citizens

The commoners of the now enslaved world. You live day in and day out doing what you must to survive, and doing what you must to stay out of the Union's suspicions.

Offices of City Administration and Development

With a new approach to an incredibly interesting arm of the Union's power, we have brought together many different real governmental roles, under the City Consul, to power the environment that is City Seventy One.

    Civil Protection

Civil Protection has taken a new turn for roleplay. The ground units find themselves in a flat structure, no unit with power over one another - but with experience over one another. There are no fancy and colourful uniforms with flashy red visors and edgy weaponry placement, every man stands with the same jacket, kevlar, and facemask. The ranks have no individuality, they are merely graded in numerical order from u1 to u9.

    Universal Union Overwatch Transhuman Arm

There is no need for military in the cities. You will likely never see them, nor hear from them, unless a friend of yours disappears without a trace.

    Union Labour Association

The Union Labour Association is a reformation of the bland and consistent Civil Worker's Union. It was founded in 2013, and works closely with the Offices of City Administration to compel the citizens in a way that they are engaged with keeping the city alive - and deterring rebellious thoughts.

    Civil Employment Arm

Do you ever join a server and find that there is nothing to do? The Civil Employment Arm offers a new amalgamation of activities for citizens to be employed in, if they find themselves interested. The Union requires that all citizens work daily, and the Civil Employment Arm is here to ensure that.

We have our own custom content, and content from other people.

Currently, I'm working on a system where citizens have access through small PDA-like devices to a "Network". See more details on our forums.

Absolutely beautiful. *clap* This sounds great. The thread and representation is beautiful.

One flaw is the fact that your forum is a .tk and uses the same layout as C16; make it different. You gonna get something better? Anyway, I'll check it out for sure when the server is up.
EDIT: The forums is a mess. There is just too many boards and categories. Other than your forums, I have no further complaints.

We don't have the funding for a .com/.net/.ne (a generous friend of mine named Tommy is hosting our server and Teamspeak for now), and I don't have a subscription to DzinerStudio anymore so I don't have access to anything else. I'll see what I can do in the future.

    Thanks for the consideration!

Lastly, the forums has way too much clutter. Too many sections and boards. Other than that, the server sounds and looks wonderful.

I'll see what I can do.

    We're using Industrial_17 (final version/v1).

It was going to be part of the details once we have it up. Once the server's up, I'll post our content pack as well.

Can vouch for Datzy being a fantastic administrator. While I've yet to see him own a community, I've got faith in this. Probably too much of it.

I know it was a long time ago, but what actually happened to the Omega 9 STALKER server?

Anyways, looking forward to see how this turns out. I really like your forums, very appealing to the eye. Datzy did a good job of running The Weekend Anachists, so I can vouch for him in that area. Good luck with it all. :)

Honestly, I've never seen a better serious roleplayer than Datzy. As well, he is the most efficient administrator I have noticed in any game, in all my years of multiplayer gaming.

Rules aren't up. Tommy posted the staff list.

Well, there's a big tale behind what happened to Omega Nine. Just add me on Steam and I'll tell you later.

Best part about this community is the fact that Datzy is -4 years old on the forums

  11. Datzy is more or less my neighbour so I'm biased. Just gonna hop in the truck and hit the mud before I play wit chu.

Edit: Don't be a LemonPunch and have no structure in your MPF. It seems like a great idea at first, but in the end it doesn't work. You'll end up with too much disorder, obliviousness and chaos in the MPF. I'd consider at least having a few designated "Commanders" of some sort, when population rises and it gets a bit too hectic for the Dispatch.

u1-u5 are ground units, being over one another in experience.
u6 leads squadrons, u7 is generally managing two.
u8 commands the majority of operations.
u9 works with the Minister of Justice and his assistants on keeping Civil Protection running smoothly.

  13. But in theory...

"U9: Hey shitbucket U1, go to U4's apartment and wake him up."
"U1: lol no fuk u ur not my leder"

That'd be if that's how our Civil Protection worked. There are no terms for the ranks, just a name and description. They have roles. Only ground units are same in power. The numbers (again, u6 to u9) above them have growing power over the unit.

  15. Looks grand, forums look great as well if you ask me.
Only issue I have with the forums is to many boards, maybe try keeping it to single boards ect.
    Looking forward to playing it.

as long as it doesnt pull a open door or lemonpunch then im fine

With the Civil Protection, you need a constant structure system or it will collapse, you have to have that form of leadership and control, or you just have a group of people with guns and Kevlar.

I may or may not piss with the CSS a bit and make the "many boards" a little more pleasing to look at.

I'm not too sure if any of you understand that there is a form of leadership of control without the same terms every time. Ground Units are influenced by one another, and controlled by their Squadron Leaders. Squadron Leaders are worked with and assist the Officer - managing several squadrons, and controlling operations. The Officer and Squadron Leaders work hand-in-hand with the Commander (again, u8 as I said before), to keep their work consistent.

In the next week there'll be an amalgamation of documentation on the forum available regarding Civil Protection.

tbh, you don't need any rank structure at all, just have dispatch be the commander.

have dispatch have access to viewing through some device in every unit's helmet.

so if units are fucking autistic they get shat on by dispatch

So, Datzy, what's up with the server? Forums are unupdated for two days.

Tempted to visit it as you presented the server beautifully.
