Outsider Gaming

Discussion in 'Communities' started by JonneBravo, Oct 20, 2013.

  1. I would've given you more constructive criticism, but;
    a) You seem unable to listen/respond to reason.
    b) You censor me to distort my argument.
    c) You support your staff team/close friends insult your player base and seek to silence/censor those that insult/speak.
    d) You're completely ridden with hypocrisy and contradict yourself too much.

I agree that it is a bad decision to merge your community. The only ones benefiting from the merge is whoever has their name remaining. It usually ends up with the members going to the community and then a disagreement in management and then the community with its name intact stays standing and the other just falls into nothing.

    I agree with Liam.

The way you seemed to be handling all this, is in no way a Democracy, a Community is meant to be. This was more the Fidel Castro regime.

    I totally agree with you.

Merging your community with Corelight, former "SLA-Gaming" from what I've heard, is a bad choice. Their gamemode (I have it right here infront of me) doesn't contain roleplay elements at all, it's all scripted. You run in the street, manhacks get deployed onto you automatically. It's not a good choice.

But Jonne, if you think your merge is the best thing to do with your community, so be it, but seriously, think about it. I'm not trying to create a flame war here I'm just telling you a piece of advice.

  5. This is how it usually goes.

    1. Community that keeps their name after the merge usually owns all the assets (server, website, etc).

    2. Somewhere down the line, a dispute happens between the community that merged and the community that was left.

    3. The community that was left removes every one from the merged community from power, because they can and there isn't anything you can do about it.

How to kill a community 101.

It seems that people disagree with the Outsider Gaming's recent news about our merge. So I've decided that I'm going to make a poll about it.

I 'censored' your comments because you were blantantly insulting a staff member based on his sexual orientation.

After a discussion with one of the directors of Corelight, we've decided that it'd be best if we didn't carry out the merge.

Thank you all for your constructive criticism. :)

After Cryptic's claim of us using XenForo, and we believe he most likely sent in a message to them regarding, it seems our account was suspended because of it and perhaps XenForo were reluctant to look into the situation. We're currently sorting it out and we have no ETA on when the forum will be re-released.

The server is still up as usual.

To at least prove our case to you we've taken the liberty to provide some evidence.
