Server Lore

Chapter One
January 1, 2016
The New Years' fireworks ringed in the distance of New York City, while Frank Sinatra's widely known song - 'New York, New York' could be heard throughout New York's Manhattan Borough. The nice, luminous lights of the new years fireworks shined upon the alluring waters off of the coastline. The sight was truly a once in a year spectacle, but the New Years fireworks were not the only light being shed onto the streets of The United States of America. Instead, protests from the recent killings of certain political leaders struck the streets of New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston, Miami, and Detroit. The killings of the political leaders were in response to the large influx of Syrian Refugees into the United States that were allowed by the leaders. These protests turned from just being signs held, to masked citizens throwing Molotov's at Syrian Refugee camps. Due to the importing of these Syrian Refugees, crime and terrorism had spiked to an all-time high, leaving political leaders scratching their heads on what to do to solve the issue of the high crime and terrorism rate. Police Officers were assaulted and slain day by day, while the Citizens who needed them most were left helpless. Police Officers were considered high-targets by Drug Lords and Terrorism Leaders.


Chapter Two
February 16, 2016
After more than a month since the start of the outrage among the citizens of The United States, Citizens began to overthrow local and federal government offices. On February 29th, The remaining members of congress, presidential cabinet, and the President and Vice President retreated to a large bunker-like facility located in The Ozarks. The United States capitol was left abandoned. No longer were the streets filled by citizens on their way to work, and children on their way to school. States with big cities began to fall, after the fall of Washington D.C., one-by-one. The remaining towns and neighborhoods were thrown into ruins by the desperation caused by each and every person trying to survive, as the shipping of food, water, and other goods were halted.


Chapter Three
March 21, 2016
Alot changed in the month of February. Either for the better or for the worst, depending on how one would see it. A new so-called government, The Supreme Federal Union was created, and put into place by the countries top ten rich and powerful. The Supreme Federal Union evolved so quickly and so tough, that nobody could stop them, even if they had tried. There were no more states, but areas called 'zones', instead. With a total of sixteen zones, each one had a totalitarian leader and his army of former police and paid mercenaries. Due to the strong infrastructure that was provided by the Supreme Federal Union, most of the remaining people of the former United States embraced the new government. as they provided a "New Hope" for all. Many of the rioters believed that the Supreme Federal Union was incorrect and flawed, just like the last, but much worse.


Chapter Four
Present Day
The days are long inside of Zone 08, as the lower-class Citizens work and tend the fields of City Limits, while the rich and powerful sit inside of their modern, luxurious apartments, looking down upon everyone. At the top of the City Limits tower, Elitas Members sipped on their champagne and expensive wine, while listening to classical music and sharing stories about the past. This was their world, they chose how it would be run, and what would happen. The Supreme Federal Union provided the support infrastructure for the remaining zones of the former United States, whilst mercenaries provided security services to the remaining Elitas members.

I hope that you have enjoyed the short lore that we provided for you, and hope to join us in our server for an adventure that will test your skills at role-playing, as-well as providing you with a fun and unique experience to dwell upon. If you are still interested in how everything works, I encourage you to ask any questions that you may have, so that I can answer them to the best of my ability. If you don't like the lore, or think it needs improvements, tell us! Please keep in mind that we are trying to stay away from the lore of Half-Life 2, and create something different. So, if something seems similar to Half-Life 2, please let us know so that we can clarify. We are also looking for a great name to name the government, so - please give us suggestions.


Factions/Classes
Elitas Members (ee · lee · tus)
Elitas Members are rich citizens that own a portion of the Supreme Federal Union, as-well as make high-level decisions. To become an Elitas Member, Citizens must travel to the Elitas Tower/City Limits tower and visit the 'Citizen Upgrade Terminal', which will allow them to purchase an Elitas Card and membership for $25,000 (Subject to change). Upon receiving an Elitas Card, the Citizen will be considered an Elitas Member, and will be allowed access into the tower, use the facilities available, as-well as purchase a room inside. Elitas Members are high-valued targets, so hiring a mercenary is the best course of action.

Mercenaries
Mercenaries protect a certain, individual Elitas Member who has hired them. Mercenaries can put in an application at the Elitas/City Limits tower, after passing a background check. As far as pay goes, Elitas Members can either decide to pay you in large quantities, or small quantities, varying on who you are protecting.

Citizens
Citizens work day-by-day as laborers by maintaining and cleaning the Elitas Tower/City Limits tower, farming, fishing, and cooking for Elitas Members. While the Citizens receive little pay for their efforts, they are considered the life-blood of the zone, as they provide the labor that is required to keep the zone up and running.

The Governor
The Governor is in charge of everything from administration, military, as-well as civil needs. The Governor makes and creates key-decisions that will either make or break Zone 08.

The Supreme Federal Union Armed Forces

Put into one category, The Supreme Federal Union Armed forces make up the protection force of Zone 08 from the outsiders that wish to enter. The Supreme Federal Union Armed forces are armed with standard police equipment weapons, such as pepper-spray, light ballistic vests, batons, glock-series pistols, flashlights, and radio's.

The Supreme Federal Union Administration

The Supreme Federal Union Administration deals with day-to-day operations of the SFU, And ensures that tasks are being carried out by SFU Armed Forces. The SFU Administration has the authority to issue P-Marks (Punishment Marks), as-well as order the firing of SFU Armed Forces.

the idea looks real promising up until the point of the whole zone thing

it makes it feel like hl2rp in a sense. do we get to experience rp out of these sectors? like a survival rp thing?

 

is this server sponsored by trump?

anyway, i dunno. i'd have to agree with roth. the lore seems okay up until the zone thing. maybe have this zone be a small part of the map and instead shift the focus over to survival in a chaotic world.

There is only one zone for our server, and that is Zone 08. Please look at the pictures below, so that I can explain in further detail.


Outside of the walls is the 'Chaotic' area that we plan to have. This area is lawless, and anything goes.


Here is the entrance, that we plan to block off - to keep the craziness out of the civilized area.


Here is where the lower-class Citizens will live. (I plan to make a farming area)


Here is the fishing area that I plan to add.


Here is the Elitas/City Limits tower.


Here is the reception area for the Elitas/City Limits tower. Here, a lower-class Citizen can purchase a Elitas Membership card.


Here is the corridor to floor two, which houses two small rooms, and one large room. These rooms are available to be purchased by Elitas Members, of-course.


Here is the interior of room 202, A large room available for Elitas Members.


Here is the administration reception area of the Elitas/City Limits tower. The administration level houses government officials, as-well as The Governor.



Here is one of the administration rooms. As you can see, the windows can be opened or closed for privacy.



Here is the balcony/observation area for the administrative offices.


Here is the roof-top area, which Elitas Members can catch a fresh breathe of air, and not have to worry about filthy low-class Citizens.


EDIT: Zone 08 is within the walls of City Limits.

is there mainly a focus on the inside though? or will there be a sort of freedom in what you can do and admins won't encourage restricting players?

We do not intend to restrict our players from what goes on inside, and outside of the Elitas/City Limits tower. The inside of the Elitas/City Limits tower is intended to be luxorious and classy, while outside of the tower, sickness and famine spreads rapidly. As far as player control, If the Elitas Members want a dictatorship type government, they order it. If they wish to have a democracy type government, they order it.
