Post your Computer Specs

Discussion in 'Fast Threads' started by Dremek, Dec 4, 2014.

  1. Post your computer specs here! (Look in device manager, or dxdiag for some easier reading.)

Just gonna paste all of the computers I have access to in my house, since they're shared between us. The main computer I use is the 1st one, the main one my father uses is the 2nd. (They're both in our Den.) They're connected via a NAS so most of the files are shared. (Documents, Desktop, pictures, etc.) My dad is actually where I got my interest in Engineering & Electronics, and that aside, my family is pretty spoiled when it comes to stuff like computers. (Although we've had these computers for a couple years now, and it's not like they're being constantly upgraded or anything like that.)

    1st Computer:
    AMD Phenom II X4 B45 @ 3.10 GHz
    12GB DDR3
    Two Monitors @ 1080p
AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series (Don't know the exact model, since my dad picked out the parts for the first and second computer. But I know it's the best/newest 5700 model, that's it.)

    2nd Computer:
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Don't know the exact model, since my dad picked out the parts for the first and second computer. But I know it's the best/newest 6800 model, and it's GDDR5. I think it's the 6890, but I'm not sure.)
    8 GB RAM
    AMD FX(tm) - 4170 Quad-Core Processor @ 4.20 GHz
    Two Monitors @ 1080p

    3rd Computer:
??? (It's being shipped here from overseas. It's a hardcore gaming PC, can't wait to be able to use it to play some newer games at max settings. eg. Watch Dogs.

Just bought one to replace the one I had in my room, which was a really old Dell I used for homework and coding. (Black Friday sales. <3) Now I can play Video Games deep into the night without disturbing my family by playing in the Den. Actually just got the parts in today.

    /My/ Computer in my Room:
AMD A4 6300 Dual Core Overclocked to 3.9 GHz.
    8 GB RAM
    AMD Radeon R7 250 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5

My main PC will probably always be the 1st one listed, though.

If you think yours is outdated...boy when I post my specs.

  15. !

    !

I'd recommend you overclock your ram to a minimum of 1333mhz and buy an aftermarket cooler to overclock your CPU to 4 GhZ. Your build is still better than mine anyways, though.

  16. Aflac

    Aflac Big Guy

I was positive the ram was 1600mhz when I got the damn thing, and I know the CPU is OC'd to a whopping 4.6GhZ. Probably should have mentioned that. Falcon Northwest knows how to OC.

  17. It's 1600 mhz...speccy is just retarded

theres no such thing as 800 mhz ram(in a modern computer atleast, you would be out of your mind to buy 800 mhz ram), it shows up like that because it's how RAM is read by programs

"DDR stands for Double Data Rate
I/O bus clock speed for DDR3-1600 is 800 MHz
    Data rate is 1600 MT/s "

  18. !

    !

I know, I'm doing a Computing course. I just assumed that you somehow had 800mhz RAM and that all the math was done.

    4.6GhZ is mental. Nice one.

  19. not walter

My PC is shit compared to these.
I'll post specs in a bit.

I've also got a Cooler Master 212 Evo on my CPU (Overclocked to 4Ghz)

And my PSU is a Corsair GS600

Going to be upgrading with a GTX 970 and a Intel 730 240 GB SSD soon, as my Graphics card (AMD 6850) and 5600 RPM Drive are showing their age.
