    I would assume it can be configured by right clicking the thing and "manage skin" or "edit variables". @cold uses that one, p sure

    It's a little widget, and it will basically call for a png (or whatever image format) and a filepath. It basically is a fancy shortcut with clickable hexagons.

    They are Honeycomb buttons that, when clicked upon, lead to the destination given (ie. Google's Hexagon -> www.google.com, My Documents -> C:\Users\User\My Documents) You can create your own by putting a .png in the configuration file for the honeycomb, or edit other pre-existing honeycombs.
