    That's probably every single person here. If it were real life, very few would try to resist. But as you said, it is a video game, thus people will want to be video game like characters.

    Right, and I'm not dismissing that. But the reality of it is, most people couldn't or wouldn't. I'd assume the Combine would be much more 1984-ish, and would attempt to not let people leave.

    Very true, but we're basing this on HL2 lore while in a realistic setting and acting as if it was in real life. If people want to be video game characters and be able to kill all the metropolice and rebel against them constantly, then they're free to join another server or go and actually play Half-Life 2 itself.

    Yes. There is no denying that however, Rhenz is saying that there wouldn't be people walking around with the mindset "Man, fuck tha Police! Im 'bout to whoop his ass if he walk up to me!". You have to take into account that in HL2, It's hinted that Citizens are showing signs of malnutrition and the only intake of food that receive is whatever's in the rations so I doubt they'd be able to take down a armed, trained officer in a matter of seconds without assistance from someone else.

    Oh Soret definitely knows this, he's shown that on several occassions. Though I feel that perhaps Soret mis-interpereted what Rhenz said and didn't really explain himself properly. I think he meant to state what you said very clearly, that there would be resistance but obviously not the kind/mindset of what you explained. Good to know others feel the same was as me though :)
