Okay, where do I begin...

First off, your trailer does nothing to show off whats unique to your server. It consists of NPC's bobbing their heads back and forth like fucking chickens, not impressive at all. Infact, it looks like you put more effort into that trailer instead of your forums or this forum post. You should instead, work on making both your forum and this forum post much more appealing.

Sounds like on-disc DLC to me. I hope you know that Taco n Banana do not mind if you use their models as long as you do not make money off of their work. If you think you'll be able to get away with it, then guess again.

For fucks sake, your content pack has terminator models and drugs mod as well as slow motion mod, are you kidding me? Can you even explain why this is a necessity?

I have been on multiple servers (e.g Deviant Gamers lellele) that has used TnB models to get moneyz 'n' shtuff.

Either way, when I get home I'll watch the trailer and edit this post with how I like/dislike it.

 

The trailer could use some work, imo except the voice acting, but i think it was a bit too long.

You should explain why your server is a bit more unique like plugin wise and how you 'roll' (dat sad pun :/ )

 

Number 1. You should never let a regular player in on a staff meeting, period.
Number 2. Paying for models that you yourself never created, If i'm not mistaken this is illegal.
Number 3. Your forums is a mess, It's disorganized And bland.
Number 4. The trailer show's nothing whatsoever about the server.
Number 5. The name....

 

If you have nothing good to say don't say anything. I only put the effort into posting here because I was being told to by server members.

 

They were giving constructive criticism. Although Gearfiend's post came off too hostile.

I believe this thread should be closed. I think this is turning into a hate thread now.

 

You know, I like to see people with something good to say, but when you come off as passive aggressive it seems that nothing positive can come out of it, especially when you have a pole up your ass.

Now, regarding to see what the server offers, and negotiating things to the owners to make them change their ways instead of flaming them to actually attempt at help making an HL2RP server that lacks creativity (much like 90% of everything on my Garry's Mod server browser that pops up.) MAY, MAY in fact prove to be more productive than you think.

I agree, the forums need some major work, and the "theatrical" trailer wasn't intended to show specific game elements or anything because it simply wasn't, which of course in turn to help noobs out would be produced. (Mind you the creator didn't make the video, I did.)

Perhaps instead of being raging arseholes with neckbeards that flow down to your kneecaps, be an arsehole with a raging neckbeard that has something positive to say that may actually give us a cool and fun place to roleplay. Thanks.

 

Don't usually comment on communities, but I'm confused why there is so much anger and emotion in discussions regarding a video game, can't we all just get along? :-\
