Important [Release] 0.96.3 + HL2RP 1.08

    Hi guys. A small update here to fix some bugs, I'll work on fixing more if you guys can provide me with details and how to reproduce them. Both 0.96.3 and HL2RP 1.08 have been added to your store downloads area with the (BETA) tag, but you can also find 0.96.3 on GitHub as usual.

    Clockwork 0.96.3

    * Fixed items being removed too soon on creation.
    * Fixed TOOL binds not working (such as camera key, etc.)
    * Removed deploy animation from the hands weapon
    * Fixed odd credits in the keys weapon.
    * Moved experimental Backsword and themetest plugins to development/ folder.
    * Made ironsights library name more consistent with others.

    HL2RP 1.08

    * The suitcase finally works (only a small thing, but it annoyed me.)
    * Breen's Water actually restores stamina like its supposed to.

    Change the view model for the flashlight? Same thing as the suitcase.

  4. Been playing HL2RP since late 2012, don't think I've ever seen the suitcase actually work up until now.

    No need to be a prick, I had some time to kill so I fixed a few minor issues that I knew annoyed people. I've also put out a thread requesting other bugs people would like fixed. Looks like I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

    Oh come on... chill yourself! He was joking man... calm down. As much as it is sort of inconvenient that you do take some time to do little things, I do not think you are 'damned' if you do beyond a few jokes and sarcastic comments.
    I have actually, but it was on one server that I think had a custom fix. Haven't seen it since until now in this update.

    As much as you think so, these 'jokes' and 'sarcastic comments' become infuriating after a while especially when I know it isn't a joke. Jokes usually have some form of indication of humor and aren't blunt. The fact is he was just being a prick, but OK. One of the reasons I no longer actively develop for GMod is just how rude and ungrateful some people are. So when I do decide to make some changes or release an update, you better believe I won't take any shit -- especially from a so-called 'Honorable' -- which too many people seem to have that simply don't deserve the title.

    That's because for all intents and purposes I have quit GMod development after 10+ years of being actively involved in it. However, because I have some free time recently I just want to fix some of the most annoying bugs with the framework.

    Also, you say its fixable in 10 minutes, but I don't see you making any pull requests or trying to help the community by contributing said fix to the public repository -- so in what way are you helping exactly?

    I don't feel like being a beta-tester for a product I paid 50 dollars for back in the day.

    I understand that you are trying to do something good, but it's just way too late now and way too minor.

    @kurozael Add a way that clockwork animation model replacement can be removed with a console command or something like and make it also like this THAT ITS ONLY server side and not client side

    I'm just saying if you're not willing to contribute a fix you're aware of, then you can't criticize others when they do. You say it's way too late, and way too minor, and this is why I say I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. When I do nothing, you moan, when I do something, you moan. Considering I've left GMod development for the long term, the least I can do for my customers is to commit any fixes -- no matter how minor -- when I get the spare time. You are literally the only person who is complaining here, other customers are happy about it.

    @karl-police Yes, I forgot to add it as a 'release', my bad! But I'm working on some more experimental fixes and changes (such as trying to langify the remaining framework.) so it might not be a good idea for me to make a release from the latest commit now.

    And what do you mean by 'Clockwork animation model replacement'? :)

    Clockwork.AnimationAdd
    replaces the model animations client side. After restarting gmod its fixed but if you join the server with the wrong animationadd or anything else it replaces the model client side. If you join another server it stays like this and others see it not like you see.
    If you remove it from the plugin code NOTHING HAPPENDS ITS LIKE THE PLUGIN IS SAVED IN MYSQL which is another bug. Some plugins are saved in the MySQL also after removing it.

    Aka, Scanners should have flashlights. Can you do this or should I do a plugin for it?

    First I recommend backing up your existing Clockwork installation. Then just remove the Clockwork folder (except from your config file) and then paste in the new versions (except from the config file.)

    If it doesn't work you can always revert to your backup.
