Other Removing the intro screen black bar

Discussion in 'Development' started by Doxxy, Jun 9, 2016.

  1. Was wondering if there was a way to remove the black bar that goes across the screen and zooms in during the 'cinematic introduction' sequence.

It may be hard to see, but we aren't using a logo in the middle and just replaced it with a transparent image, but the black bar that was behind it stayed, covering up a good chunk of the image we decided to use.

I looked around a good majority of the clientside files that might relate to this (cl_kernel, cl_hooks, cl_theme, etc) but was not able to find anything. If any of you knew where this was being drawn and could tell me, it'd be much appreciated.

  2. Me too, although you could put an image pertaining to your schema. These are some downsides to Clockwork.

From what I have researched the black bar is built into the website, so I don't think this is going to be possible.

ShadowOfDoubt In the grim dark future. There is only SCG.

While I'm not certain because I'm no way a ClockWork developer, or have any form of knowledge on it when it comes to hands-on practical stuff.

I believe from what I do know that it's just part of the banner. It's there to make the words stand out. It wouldn't look right without it, but it's also just part of it. Built in.
I'm sure someone might know a way, but in all my time I've never seen anyone do it so I couldn't know for sure.

Since you're disagreeing with most posts, clearly you have a better idea. Share it?

  5. The intro sequence isn't encrypted. Not sure how it can actually be done, but If you look hard enough I bet you can find a way.

If I tell you how to remove this a certain administrator of this forum will be really unhappy.

    EDIT:
Plus I already tried posting a way to remove this as a reply to this topic only for it to be removed by the mods.

It was me, the intro is something Conna wants to keep on all servers, as much as we don't like it. Sorry I had to remove it the post. :/
