Replace chatrooms with a shoutbox?

    I hardly ever see people in the chatrooms, so we could just replace it with a shoutbox on the main page of the forums. More people are use to the idea of a shoutbox rather than a small menu at the bottom of your screen. Easy to add, very useful, and more practical than a chatroom that operates at the speed of Valve Time.

    I do like shoutboxes quite a bit, but if this is implemented please don't have it lurking on my screen at the top. Place it above the server logs. I don't want to see it as soon as I log on to the forums. Anyways I give my support to this idea, chatrooms aren't used enough and I think a shoutbox would encourage more conversation between users on the forums.

    No shoutbox. The Chatroom was the compromise. The forums themselves should be the primary means of communication. Secondary means are of course the user chat and the chat room.
