Yeah. As much as I like Williams though, I feel like they should start trying to find another worthy composer/director in the case of his retirement

The bigger thing is Williams' composing is rather similar between the films and because of that they really just need to "borrow" parts of the music to make it sound his style. E.g Binary Sunset is used several times in different songs, and he's not rewriting that piece, just inserting it into a different section of the music.

I think the music will be great regardless because it's really going to be the same +/- a few new soundtracks, hopefully.

Unless Williams' is writing the music and someone else is directing it, then it really makes no difference if the director has two eyes and a brain.

Well yeah, but you still need to compose new themes and motifs. Sure the Skywalker theme can be used over, but someone needed to compose like, Rey's Theme in the newest film. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Williams has already composed (and even recorded) the majority of the music for the three films. Like Marty O'Donnell composed the entire suite for Destiny and two sequels (which is partly why Bungie is so shitty for firing him).

While true, several composers are able to mimic his style very easily. Take Steven Reinke for example. A lot of his music is very similar and resembles some movie scores. And yeah, I agree. I wouldn't come as a surprise to see the entire soundtrack already written. I know of a few RTS/Moba games that purely write music then create a character, so I'm really not surprised.
