Said I'd post some screenies when I got in game, and here they are. There's still a lot of stuff that needs to be done, but I'm chipping away at it. These screenshots are all taken in game and none of them have lighting because I just wanted to do a fast compile and get in the map. Final compile will have HDR lighting. The first change I'd like to point out is that the map has been flipped - this might be a bit of a polarising change but I believe it changes the fundamental flow of the map.

I just wanted to make some small changes, take a few things out, add a few things, and I think I've managed to do something good with what I have so far.

I cleaned up the subway station - I can imagine an event taking place here with a combine train full of supplies or new units rolling through here. I'm debating retexturing it to make it look less grimey.

Added an apartment block around the corner from the theatre and added the entrance to the tunnel which leads all the way around to the slums, allowing the combine to rapidly get through that side of the map with an APC. I plan to retexture this part of the map entirely.

Inside the apartments on the above picture is a stairway leading down into the bar in the slums - I never liked the idea of hardpoints and making the slums on C18 a "no-go" zone, so making the whole map accessible and including more entrances to that side of the map for both MPF and citizens will grant both factions more roleplay opportunities and will hopefully eliminate the idea that the rebels can only exist on one part of the map.

This is where the tunnel loops around next to the big warehouse in the slums. I added a smaller apartment block here, I imagine this will be used by CWU heads (or some faction of that kind) or as a tight living quarter for people working there.

Added a small shop to the plaza, as well as taking out the catwalks and the storage space on top of the "CHANGE" building - mostly to free up brushes, but also because the amount of times MPF units will call full scale sweeps of the slums because of people running all over the catwalks was pretty annoying. It's an area that never got used except by webulz and wasn't useful.

Changed up the Nexus + Hospital a little bit to make the buildings look more connected. A small aesthetic change which I think adds a bit more atmosphere.

I also removed the upper entrance to the slums from the Nexus, which will make it harder and less advisable for CP's to patrol round there, though as stated earlier, they won't be restricted from doing so. OTA units won't be able to sprint out of the Nexus into the Fat Nargodian anymore.

Not pictured is also a secondary workhouse near the Nexus, I didn't screencap it because there are some serious texture bugs that I need to fix.

Hope you guys like these changes, can't wait to show you all the whole thing!

Sixx, this looks REALLY nice. The aesthetic feels completely different. You've done great job changing the entire flow of this map.

I'm excited to see this in action in it's prime. It's a complete fresh take.

    Fantastic work.

Well done with this so far as this Is going to be a whole new fresh start that won’t feel like a complete repetition of the previous servers or communities I’ve joined.

Thing is even with Fast Compile its not supposed to be like that, compiling with Hdr will still give horrible lighting.

Fast compile with no VIS does that though. I don't have any leaks.

Oh you compiled with no VIS. Nevermind then. But it might have been better if you compiled it with VIS and then showed us, as its not really clear on the screenshots.

Fixed all of the leaks and managed to get the map working. Here's a fast compile version - future version will have HDR.

Added a tunnel that leads from the slums to the Nexus, allowing APC's (and Units) to loop around the sectors. APC's now have almost total freedom across the map.
