Salvation Roleplay - Outlands Half Life 2 Roleplay

The Community
Salvation Roleplay is a community all about roleplay and character development. Without those two key elements, our server would not be what it currently is, a decent sized community with a good administration team and serious roleplay. Not only do we have some of the most experienced developers and administrators, we have some of the best roleplayers and friendliest community.

The Situation
Our server was recently split in half by a group of unappreciative players who were angered by a map change. They even stole our community's schema key and threatened to DDoS, they have also absorbed a large part of our community, therefore decreasing the amount of players that play on our server. They also have used the same name as our server, which only creates a mass confusion among our playerbase and forums.

the faction is full of strict and serious roleplayers that understand
how they should handle situations within RP.

Dealing with whether or not a Unit is amputated, Both are needed to reach a final verdict

Heavy Duty Units, hand picked and put through vigorous training to achieve

Dealing with riots; Judgement Waiver, Autonomous Judgement; moves in on targets

Defense units, assisting SWORD

Savage
Interrogation & Torture Units

Storm
Personal SeC, CmD and OvS guard; hand picked and elite trained; most dangerous Units

No, Revamp this entirely, tell us more about the server, content, website, and fucking look at some others before you post here, it needs a complete rehaul, factions, all that.

Oh, and rp_salvation I refuse to join purely because that is a terrible map for the outlands, I'd suggest a change.
I love outlands in itself but that map is so bad. And is this thread.

And just so everyone is aware, I merged with a community named Systematic Display, Systematic changed their name to Salvation Roleplay, and is now refusing to change it back after we de-merged. If I must, I will copywrite the name. There is also no need to lie to these people due to the fact that your server is dying. So with that being said, they are lying. (Oops, that just backfired on you)

Seems fairly mediocre itself,but as all servers it,you could see this bloom into something magnificent. All you need is to give off a finer image,and prove yourself,then you will have yourself some good feedback!

To make my post not to over-excessively lengthy,it could do with a few more factions possible added in first off. Then I think delicate word descriptions for everything would add off a nice touch. Lastly whilst in the midst of all of this,look at every other server and try doing something everyone hasn't done.

Not quite sure why people are so difficult about Erotic Roleplay. I've spoken about this before, and I guess I have to bring it up again.


Here we go again

In Half-Life 2, there is alot of death. In Half-Life 2 Roleplay, there is even more. Some common things in Half-Life 2 Roleplay include; torture, beatings, suicide, death, malnourishment, genocide, oppression, a totalitarian government. Not something you see in real life much, maybe suicide and death. Now, please tell me how it's acceptable to roleplay beating somebodies head into the wall, but as soon as somebody roleplays having an intimate relationship with another character, it's a terrible thing. I forgot that I live in a world where people were able to cut limbs off a persons body and turn them into a mute creature, but sex was prohibited. I mean, I obviously wasn't born naturally through sex, I was grown in a tube.

When people complain about erotic roleplay, I actually wonder if you have seen the other 90% of the internet. When you mature a little, maybe you'll realize that sex is a normal part in life. It's honestly beyond me why somebody cringes over a text-description (85% of said descriptions being very, very poor; undetailed sentences.), then goes and searches 'futa tentacle porn' on Google.

 

I must agree with you top-hat, as a long time roleplayer Sex/Erotic roleplay is apart of roleplay, and at the same time is a natural thing to want in itself, it's sex. And we all want sex, weather we admit it or not sex is awesome and a beautiful thing, even though it is heavily abused to this day and age, but none the less it should not or ever be prohibited just because you find it wrong or "OMG THE CHILDRENZ WEEEL SEEEEE." No, who gives a fuck, In this day and age most probably know about sex at like 10, I knew at around 9 myself and It shaped me as to whom I am today, so do not prohibit sex/ERP in itself, and as I always say!

I've seen this thrown around elsewhere, and the truth is, you are able to control your character, you can move your character away from certain decisions, and when you should do that, you do that.

 

Rape isn't a good thing, it never was and never will be a good thing, but putting it into text-form isn't making it a 'good thing', so I don't exactly see what's wrong with it. Mass Murder, beatings, and torture aren't good things either, but they're roleplayed more often on HL2RP servers than shaking hands or opening a door is. So to me, that 'but rape' statement is utter bullshit.

Thanks for all of the advice, I'll try to improve the post a lot more. We don't have much a playerbase currently and that limits the amount of factions that are made or used.
