Server Problems

Discussion in 'Casual Discussion' started by Jonathan Joestar, Nov 29, 2016.

  1. I've recently purchased a server from Xenon Servers, and Clockwork from the C16 store.
However, me and the owner are having a problem where our server is infinitely resetting. As far as I can tell the console doesn't seem to be full of errors or lua problems. Every time someone other than the owner of the server connects or disconnects the server restarts itself. It doesn't crash as far as I know, but it just restarts itself. Sometimes, the server just up and decides to reset every 5-10 minute intervals. We have no idea why this is happening, and have tried a few different suggestions from other people but none of it has worked. We have exhausted all of the suggestions given to us on how to fix this, and have also browsed Facepunch, C16, and the Xenon Servers forum for a possible solution. With no luck I decided to post our problems here on Cloudsixteen.

Any feedback would be much appreciated it.

  2. Have you tried contacting your server provider about the issue?

    Hey there Jonathan,

I had this problem possibly a zillion times, I even encountered it last week.
Solutions I've tried is wiping my mysql, complete re-installs of server installations et cetera, but that never worked.

Usually for me I had to wait a few hours, keep restarting the server and try to join - eventually the issue resolves itself.
What host are you using, is it Serenity Servers? Because if it is, then it might be that our server provider sucks some ass.

  4. Not yet. We were mainly trying to see if we could resolve it before having to email the server provider.
We are using Xenon Servers. I've been looking around on their forums and no one seems to be having remotely similar problems. I think I should just email our provider and get it squared away. According to the owner, the server is still acting up and it's been about four days since we purchased the server. Thinking about maybe trying for a refund so we can change providers. I used NFO before with no problems.

  5. This seemed to have done the trick. Server has given us no problems since doing so.
    Thanks for the help folks!
