Server Wont Come Online

    Well, every time I try to start my server with cwhl2rp, it just wont. Every other gamemode works, and I say the 0.85 update so I updated, and it still will not start. I downloaded both CW and CWHL2RP and just dragged both folders into the FTP, redid my serial, and put my mysql info in and still nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Add -condebug to your command line and paste your console.log after restarting the server.
     
  4. Was it working before?
    Are you using Linux? (CW doesn't work with Linux. At least not yet.)
    Did you update tmysql.dll and cloudauth.dll?

    That was strange. I dragged the correct folders in, but for some reason lua/bin didnt copy over. It's fixed now, thanks!

    Okay, so basically what happens at this point is that your server still uses the DLL files that is assigned for the gamemode, you have to stop the server in order to prevent the server from denying a replace of the DLL file, after you stopped the server you should have no problems.

    Okay, important thing here you should do is to remove the von file and the DLL's manually and replace them while your server is stopped, that should fix it, just tested it.

    I was having the same error, I couldn't start any of my 5 servers till I changed over the cloudauth stuff, which I find extremely annoying.

    Should we expect this to happen often? I wasn't aware the update was required, when I attempted to restart 3 of my servers, I watched my CPU rocket to 100% for half an hour before force-restarting our entire machine. Ended up corrupting some of our data.

    No, this shouldn't need to happen again (at least any time soon). There's been a lot of CloudAuth problems lately and also key stealing so I had to do something about it.

    It shouldn't have corrupted any of your data.
     
  12. Same thing happened to me, minus the data corruption. CPU was at a little more than 98 percent.

    Never had this before. Been monitoring my server 24/7 lately, and I've never had a text message warning me about it. Perhaps you edited some files?
