Skeleton Schema Key/Limitations to Editing

    Hello there, As I stated before, it's been nearly 8 months since I've been gone. So I'm just trying to start being productive and get my ass to work. I wanted to do a custom Hl2rp schema but I was wondering what were the limitations and what would break it in the near future (updates.)

    The only thing I recall is Editing CLOCKWORK is a no-no. Correct? The framework not the schema?
    Lastly, Where is the schema title located for when you join the main menu? And it reads out the schema name?

    Edit:: Whatever happened to the schema skeleton that was made by RJ I think?
    RE-EDIT: I found the skeleton and pulled that into a server but it requires a serial key? Should I speak to kuro about this?

    from what I know yes you have to contact kurozael to get a dev key for it, or something changed about that.

    You will be yelled at for changing the Schema and framework, but everyone does it anyway.

    editing cw is a nono because it can fuck up your entire framework, nothing to do with legality iirc
    schema title is in cwskeleton.txt in the entire schema's folder
    good luck getting a skeleton key lmfao

    There's nothing saying you cannot edit the schema or Clockwork, but you will not be able to receive official support if you do so. I'd say nearly anything can be made into a plugin, so it's recommended that you use plugins to customise HL2RP.

    Not really, it has always been like that. The only reason you're told off about doing it is because there is no need to do it - "I'd say nearly anything can be made into a plugin". There is a rule stating that you cannot advise people to modify the framework because of what I just said - that is why people get warned for it.

    There aren't any systems for automatic custom schema key generation, and kuro seems to be reluctant to give any of us trusty C16 devs access to CAX to review schemas and then generate keys for them manually. That's just from my point of view though, could be a whole other issue.
