I've always been interested in ZS RPs that take themselves seriously. And it looks like a lot of effort is being put into this one.

Technically, the server is done. It's just getting players to help with feedback and bug testing essentially. The biggest source of bugs is probably the AI, and then that's it.

 

Server is still in development?

 

It is, yes. But the server is in a playable (Or RP-able) state, however you might run into a bug or two.

 

On the gamemode itself, not a whole lot. It's mainly major bugfixes and such.

Oh and the custom map, a custom map is being made so the current (gm_aftermath night) is more of a placeholder than anything else.

 

Ok, before joining the server, allow me to explain a few things, if you do join this server aware of staff being stubborn, unmoving in their ways and overall just not willing to listen to a player at all in any sense of the word. And if you do attempt to bring up a valid point, they'll most likely simply respond with a meme or two.
Now, the logs Im presenting are of a character discussion I was having, but the issue was not of the actual character itself, that actually went quite well, even though if they said no to such an exotic idea, I would of agreed and simply roleplayed as a normal person.

Lurkingpig: Well, I want a character who had a rather odd job before the zombie infection, an armor smith no less, making and selling replications of knight armor, now what I am wondering is if you'd be against me making a character wearing a suit of armor, basically all this armor would be good against is like...stabbing, slashing and SOME kinetics at best, the only rounds the armor could handle logically is like birdshot or a .22 LR because neither of those rounds have pen worth a fuck

Now the issue that was being presented here is that the OWNER apparently had an issue with an english longsword, which yes...is indeed a sword, but to anyone that actually knows the proper limitations knight armor and medieval weaponry, the decapitation of one's head is almost complete and utter bullshit, now...you COULD certainly snap a neck with a sword from the raw kinetics, but you could do that with fucking anything.
The point I tried to make with the man is that Katana, although being sub par against armor like any sword was, it was quite dangerous against soft and flesh targets, aka zombies would be hacked and slashed by such a weapon.

The questions I have now are.
-Why would someone be so insisting on a more dangerous weapon?
-Did he simply want the katana to complete that generic katana wielding zombie survivalist (cancer)
-Why would he be stubborn rather than atleast hearing out a player and atleast giving proper explaination when a question was asked rather than being a meme?

Anyways this is my piece on the matter, frankly the roleplay may be fantastic, just make sure to avoid all discussions with administration unless you want "My way or the highway dude." or "Oh boy its meme O clock"

 

i have no interest in the server but you seem to be a complete self-entitled twat, why would he go through the effort of adding custom content (the katana was likely already in) to the server for your special snowflake character? he already let you get the character which was nice enough, having server owners bend over for player's special whims is what kills servers

 

I pointed that exact thing out to Notorious (the bloke that LurkingPig was talking to), and he agreed with me 100%.

EDIT: And yes, the Katana was already in.

 

you couldnt extract the model, put it in dropbox or push.me, load it into pac and have it replace the katana? or just give your char a different sword that they found/made and used?
