I love it, but I feel like it's more fun to do Multiplayer and that Single-Player isn't as fun as the multiplayer

 

I guess you really can't play tall either and it's a pain in the ass to get nice borders and shit cuz you have to colonize a-lot and habitable worlds are a bitch to find, and building those outpost shit takes up one influence a month.

i'll get good at it soon

what better way to get military access then bombarding their planets until they capitulate

my SP theme was originally divine mandate but as time goes on my people have shifted from a spiritual mindset so I changed the government to the upgraded straight empire
the random gen'd name was Rothaki which I liked, so I named my people the Rothak, the planet Rotha and the star... @Roth. That's when I realized what I had done.
anyways screenies of my snakey border gore nation in bound. I haven't done much warring thanks to a fallen empire to my southeast, empires with annoying alliances to my west and south, and and an advanced empire smack in the middle of me (Jhabbanid). But now I'm eating at Jhabbanid and will soon invade the Ytrellan cartel

My ship classes are super diverse and this is important to winning battles against humans or AI with larger militaries. Here's my capital ships but they're waiting for refit

i'm Birdistan in the lower left corner and i'm fucking stuck. The people North of me are a Fallen Empire (in case you don't know, they look small but they have max technology and shit and will FUCK U UP)
and the smaller nations around me are all part of a cluster fuck federation so fucking with them will be suicide

I have a tiny sector of my least habitable planets colonized by droids and shit basically just giving me mineral output.


I also found Earth in an isolated part of the outer edge of the Galaxy


I decided to waste all that energy and research to uplift them, and they end up under your foot as a vassal automatically which is pretty cool.

also turns out I haven't been using my government potential to it's fullest. I'm supposed to enslave my own people (only on minerals and food) and I get no happiness penalty (in-fact some of my people are more happier to be enslaved then when they are free)
basically i've been missing out on 20% mineral production and food production on planets this whole time ;(((

idk but I feel like that fleet is not diverse enough
might fleets generally have 1:2:3:5 battleships:cruisers:destroyers:corvettes
and each one of those has its own ratios of ship classes for weapon diversity

 

Yeah, generally corvettes I have
Plasma ships for pure damage (MediumSmall)
Autocannons ships for shield damage (MS)
Torpedo boats for torpedo damage (SSS)
Point defense pick ships for point defense (SSS)

then destroyers I like to do
Plasma again (LargeM)
Autocannon again (LM)
Torpedo/Point defense (SSMSS)

then cruisers and battleships I just use a mix of weaponry on my damage ships and then carriers I usually focus a more on point defense/flak and torps/pulse lances if I have room because torps/pulselances have a long range compared to others

 

they need to make space combat more like actual naval battles with corvettes and destroyers acting as screens and shit

 

imo Stellaris got bland quickly, I think the hype kept me playing for a bit but now it feels repetitive and boring. I get the whole be your own space nation and stuff, that's cool but by now it seems the same over and over again

then it becomes

Then once you invade the fucker, you find out he's cool with like 4 more nations so it becomes a circle-jerk of warping and fuck all.

@Timmy, @Aflac give me the key to making Stellaris refreshing or something idk how you guys can continuously play it

 

they do already but there's not a formation mechanic so you just have to hope and pray your screens are near the front

most people who get "burnt out" by games like this usually didn't like them in the first place
you either go the route of min-maxing new builds/achievement runs, or roleplaying
either way if you try to play the same shit over and over of course its gonna get boring
also play multiplayer, I would have gotten bored of EUIV save for multiplayer and I expect the same for Stellaris
