Gmod is better for what he's doing.

You can't get blood in SFM like that.

While most of that is true, Garry's Mod posing is a lot easier to pickup and do.

I've been using SFM for a good few years, @big smonk can confirm.

Unless you want to painfully add PS'd blood into the image, you'll have to deal with bland particles that're too bright, since there's very few blood particles on SFM, both on SFMLab and on the workshop.

This was made by my good friend George in Gmod.



So fuck off with the "SFM is better" Argument.

I have an entire art page on here, and 90% of it is SFM, by the way.

The reason it's easier to create a gritty atmosphere in Gmod is because it's got less anti-aliasing than SFM, and lights hit harder and with less blurring than in SFM, which is useful if you know how to use it correctly.

okay, fair points, but you gotta know that sfm is overall better for posing and shit

 

They can't be compared.

SFM is a nightmare when you first start, whereas Gmod, the first thing everyone does is start up sandbox and toss and fuck about with ragdolls.

While SFM does produce higher "quality" art with higher resolution, lighting quality, etc, it has less props and addons that make the job easy. Scene building in SFM is a real bitch.

SFM is great for making a scene look good graphically.

Gmod is great for making a scene look good with content.

You could make this in about 2 minutes in Gmod, stand tool, no collide the axe and turn his head slightly, add some lights and done.

 

yeah, you're right, but i just like spending more time, and lighting is a huge bitch in gmod if you dont know how to fix them to look good

 

Even my friend George agrees that lighting is shite in Gmod, but he works with it.
