Important Suggestion Thread

Consider a logo update.
Consider archiving older boards and starting fresh (fast threads, looking at you).
Consider providing a title called "Contributor" or something for individuals who have contributed to Clockwork or Cloud Sixteen in some significant way (Looking at RJ, Duck, Vortix, etc). Not to boost their ego or create a divide, but to give them some of the recognition they deserve that's above a standard post count achievement.
Consider a new theme. Themes are hard though, could always give the option of having others to choose from.
Bring back community events when things become less awkward (I think my game nights were a big hit, personally).

edit: Let users change their titles again (or at least give ranked members the ability to).

 

Legend is something only I can give and is the highest level of respect I have for someone's contributions.

New theme? I dunno I worked hard on bossing this one out and as Aspect says it's pretty iconic at this point. I think it'll do until the new forums when S&box is out.

A logo update will come when I do a total Cloud Sixteen rebranding which again will tie in with the new forums and new S&box projects.

As for archiving older boards that are generally just full of shit and spam, I'm all down for that...

 

Do it to damn near everything except support threads.

 

There is a lot of garbage that is completely unnecessary at this point. A quick look through fast threads reveals nearly every thread was created a year or up until the XF change, most of which could be remade when and if these forums get a resurgence (do note: not saying delete, archive. could always have it locked behind a rank). Looking through casual discussion reveals a similar tale, except there are threads like this (though could be a fault at having zero moderation for a time. by the looks of it, it already looks fairly pruned). In general, the amount of actual 'topics' (by XF's definition) is very low across almost every board except Clockwork subboards and fast threads. Let's not hide behind a veil of nostalgia about how things were because that's not coming back and I don't think we should use the past (more so recent history) to dictate how we should manage the now and the future.

Also, it's great to see @kurozael providing his input. Agree that most of that could wait for your rebranding with S&Box.

 

if server owners want to put out a burn notice to other communities, sure, let them. cloud sixteen is the proprietor of the gamemode and should have no control over the things the server management themselves should have control over.

 

I agree aswell, I will sort this out once kurozael removes my website restrictions.
