    Greetings, folks.

I'd first and foremost like to say thank you for your future suggestions and discussion, as we are interested in seeing what there is to potentially better the playerbase and overall feedback for our servers; especially Outbreak.

Before we begin planning launch events, so on and so forth, what would prospective players like to see in the forthcoming release/opening?

Outbreak is set in modern times, after a contagion spreads rapidly throughout the United States. It is unknown as to where it came from, to the population at least, but social decay and structural chaos led to the demise of society, long before the 'dead' took over, or at least what we see in major cities.

As of right now, we're planning for it to be a Walking Dead / 28 Days and weeks blend, with elements that induced the greatest immersive/terrifying feelings from other shows, games, and so on and so forth. However, these are mere outlines/drafts, as we would like to receive some appropriate suggestions pertaining to what should be put forth, what should be allowed, so on, so forth.

Here's a 'teaser' to set the mood:

We are drafting as well, an infected player script. The virus is heavily contagious, and we've thought of a potentially creative way to induce the fear of the virus and undead. Some trusted players may be whitelisted to become the infected, to which we're devising a script that allows them to spread a scripted viral infection, which after a good OOC duration, would automatically add the player to the whitelist, and permakill the living character.

We've also discussed the idea of removing the scoreboard for non-administrators, so as to let other players/infected players remain 'hidden', giving a sense of suspense, and that 'there may or may not be other people out there, I don't know whom.'

    Thoughts?

  2. This will shift the boundaries heavily on Zombie Serious RP.

How is loot going to be handled primarily?
How will each and every character be unique in their way?

Keep up the good work and let us know when this beast will be unleashed!

  3. Can't wait to see this happen.

How will humans be able to interact with each other? (i.e. Marketplaces, hubs, etc.)
And what system will you be using for items and looting?

From my understanding, starlox intends on everything being player ran. I presume that bands of friends will be forming their own factions, so on and so forth. @Doxxy can provide more details.

  5. There will be NO automatic loot whatsoever. Loot will be entirely ran by admins and the spots the loot is placed carefully selected. As I guess the 'owner'(?) of the server, I run my admin team very differently than I've seen other servers do it
-You're either superadmin or player, I either trust you with full power or I don't
-You're a superadmin because we need their specialties, while some SA's might focus on actual administration, others will be focusing on placing reasonable and creative loot (having to find a code to safe, hidden, having to do earn it, etc) through either just placing loot, oddjobs from characters, etc.
While I understand guns are common throughout rural America (our schema's setting), the characters will be staying in the same area (town) so there will be no guns just placed haphazardly throughout the city. The only guns remaining in the city would be in safes or in a hidden spot where no one (another character or IC human who previously went through the city) looked.

I didn't quite understand the question, but I believe you're asking what types of customization does a player have over their character?
-While it seems stupid, we generally associate certain weapons with certain characters. The pack we are using has a wide variety of different weapons (not 20 generic assault rifles) with each a very distinguishing feature.
-PAC will be on the server, albeit heavily regulated, so I guess another way to customize your character
-A good amount of different models, some from TNB HL2, TNB Stalker, a few other survivor packs combined to make a good variety
-A good amount of different 'clothes' items (the ones that just change your model for compatibility for non-bodygrouped models)
-While we'll consistently monitor RP (without interfering!), we will welcome unique/interesting characters and make sure they aren't shut down or overshadowed by the edgy or more shallow characters

The map we're using is rp_v_torrington which is a small town set in rural America. The map has a barricaded church with lights and that will serve as a artificial 'hub' that wont be enforced (players are welcome to go and explore the map and set up something somewhere else if they want).
Trading will be standard as players are able and encouraged to trade with each other. Despite what some images shown previously, I plan on removing any excessive information and will remove 'Approx. Price' so players themselves can choose the cost and create some sort of economy.
