  1. I don't know if I'm missing out on something here, but please tell me if I have. How would NATO lose a war against JUST Russia; AND why would NATO wait until they're about to lose to use nuclear explosives, and tbh, you didn't even mention why Russia went to war with NATO ?

  2. Unfortunately I couldn't include all the lore in the banner because it was too small. I guess I can explain a lot more of it here, and maybe it'll clear a few things up.

Russia discovered how to use cold fusion to provide an unlimited source of energy (cold fusion is a hypothetical idea of using nuclear fusion at room-temperature environments https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cold_fusion). With this, they strengthened their allies with the surrounding countries by exchanging this technology with them. Because of this, Russia was able to create the Eastern European Coalition (Or E.E.C) with the surrounding countries, and it's new ally Ukraine. Russia and the E.E.C. countries wanted the East to again be a global superpower just how it was during the Soviet era, but from now a military standpoint and not from the idea of spreading communism. The countries that were in the Eastern European Coalition were Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan.

Tensions between the West and the East grew as the E.E.C. became a more dominant economic and military force. France sent diplomats from the UN to discuss the risky, potential war-causing habits of the E.E.C., but the plane containing the diplomats was shot down over Russia before it was able to land. This was seen as a middle finger from the E.E.C to the rest of the world, and all Coalition countries backed out of the U.N. soon after the plane crash. NATO set up outposts in Ukraine, Serbia, and Kazakhstan. A few months later, E.E.C. forces rushed these NATO outposts, killing everyone inside and re-taking the fortress as their own. This started the Third World War, in late of 2037.

The U.S., wanting to avoid the war as much as possible, but also stop the coalition, remained out of the war official but supplied NATO countries with arms and equipment. Angered by this, all former US Citizens living in E.E.C. countries were given identification. In 2043, all people with these special ID cards were shot to death, in what became the American Genocide. Outraged, the U.S. entered the war, and began to land troops in Europe - but it was too late. Because of the US's hesitancy to join the war, the E.E.C had already expanded too far and was too powerful. It was clear the war was turning into the Coalition's favor.

Knowing the final outcome of the war, all NATO countries sent their best scientists to a laboratory in Chicago, a now highly technologically advanced city. They set out to create a weapon to be able to stop the Coalition's world domination plan, and three years later, they did it: They created the ICBMX - 1 and ICBMX - 2. These nuclear devices were the toughest weapon Earth has ever seen, and will most likely ever see. It had a potential blast radius of up to 300 miles, with anyone in the 100 mile zone instantly being killed. They held onto these weapons until 2046, the year E.E.C. forces attacked the East Coast of the U.S. They fired one at Ukraine and one at Moscow, each successfully detonating and causing devastating effects. They also launched many smaller, but still deadly missiles and nuclear weapons in nearby countries.

The E.E.C., completely dumbfounded by the acts of NATO that they did not expect, slowly began to run out of resources until 2047, when the Treaty of Minsk was signed. All Coalition countries signed this, official declaring the end of the war. The only country who did not sign this was Ukraine, because due to the devastation no formal government was left behind.

Enter 2050, three years after the war. Players roam in an unknown city in Europe. Humanity, even on the brink of destruction, yet again divides itself into four main groups: the bandits, the loyalists, the everyday survivors, and the New European Army. The survivor are yesterday's citizens who do whatever it takes to survive. The loyalists are a subsection of the survivors who still have faith in the E.E.C.'s ideals, and are purposefully oblivious to the fact the E.E.C. will never rise again. The bandits are a loosely organized faction led by an Ex-Coalition general, who rob survivors, traffic arms, and fight for territory. The New European Army is a group who seeks to set order in the wasteland, and identifies where foreign aid have airdropped supplies, return supplies to camps, and fight off bandits from settlements.

Hopefully this will help you a LOT. If it didn't, feel free to raise any more concerns or ask another question. Thank you for responding to the post!
