The PC or Console Debate

So.. Consoles or PC? You decide, and who will win?


I'm personally a PC person, I just can't get used to the feel of a controller, isn't natural. And also the sticks are about as accurate as an early 2000s automated robot.

Plus, consoles are outdated as anything, TF2, one of the best first person shooters, is still in it's earliest release on the X-Box 360 to this day.

 

I like using controllers for FPS-based games and other games that require constant clunking on my computer late at nights, but parts for computers are bullshit expensive even on Newegg.
I think I'll just stick with Garry's Mod forever..

I dislike the lack of security in consoles and the usually garbage communities/horrible uncontrollable ping.

I have all current-gen and next-gen consoles (except Wii, it sucks), along with hi-end gaming PC. I think consoles have their strong sides (GTA V, GTA V, GTA V), and next-gen consoles have their strong sides too (GPAHPICS GRAPHICS GRAPHICS). But I personally prefer buying cross-platform games for my PC, rather than consoles, unless this game is more comfortable if played on console.

My choice:
Everyone wins.

 

PC The glorious master gaming race, I prefer it over near any system any day.

But. I do own a PS3 Purely for The Last of us...

Microsoft's consoles be the best.

 

Personally, I think controllers are a pretty sub-par control scheme.

Non-personally, computers weren't as popular for gaming as consoles because consoles were more focused and streamlined whereas computers were so overly complicated and inferior processing-wise, but now computer technology has grown to a point where it can boot up faster than a console, run programs better than a console, and give more freedom and choice than a console.

 

I like consoles for that fact that I don't have to worry about being able to run a game or not, since all games that come out for console are made to run smoothly on the console already. Where as, on PC, I have to take a guess if I'll be able to run a game or not, and if I can't run it after I buy it, oh well, money wasted.

 

On the back of the box it should tell you the PC specs.

 

Or if you're not from the past on steam it should tell you the specs when you're about to purchase it, and whether it might work on your system.

 

I can just picture him always at the ready with his box that the PC came in.

 

I personally like both. Except,ps3. Fucking hate the interface with it. It's so... Meh, compared to xbox and steam. But ps3 has the best exclusives. I still believe that littlebigplanet is one of the greatest games of last generation, and even this gen.

 

And for good reason.
Personally, the fact that console FPS games need aim assist says all that needs to be said on the quality of console controllers.
Though I play Spec Ops The Line on my Xbox 360, and I'm currently on my third run-through.
