The Revival - Specter Gaming Dead Space RP Beta.

Overhauling my failed attempt at a generic sci-fi RP into Dead Space. Obviously requires some heavy addons, and some are left over from the old canon, but if you're interested in joining up, maybe volunteer in Development [needed badly], or just give it a try and give some feedback.
Map's gonna be scrapped for a new one or overhauled, but right now it's too open to be a dead space map. I'll work on it in my free time which is already limited.

I'll work on reducing the downloads best I can, but for now it's just something you'll have to deal with.

Basis: Survival of the fittest.. Or mostly those who have equipment or people protecting them... You have been stationed on an icy cold planet. The EarthGov has offered to protect you in return you must help excavate and extract information and artifacts. But don't think you're so lucky having bodyguards. Everyone's pissed off because of the cold... But there's something else you should know. The fanatics who claim the Necromorphes are "gods" are not going to just let you have 'their' artifacts... They need them for their own collection and rituals. Let's not mention... The Necromorphes themselves. They are ever present, messing with your mind as you do all you possibly can to do your job. Your only hope is that Earth gov holds out on you... If they don't or can't... Well. You're on your own. I hope you're as crafty as Isaac Clarke is... Good luck.

Actually I just took another look at it. I have helped grade papers that aren't this long or walled up. Excuses of laziness will get you fewer places.

Thats not good.

If you want people to come to your community show effort.

 

I'm not going to bother formatting my text to conform to each personal preference. I simply like to format in paragraphs. I'll focus my efforts in actually working on the server and it's content. If a paragraph like that scares you all off, then perhaps you aren't the RPers I want on my server anyhow.

Quality doesn't always mean quantity; but when it comes to the art of writing and syntax, a paragraph like that is a matter of simple effort to which the audience it is intended for should already have a firm grasp on the simple manners of reading comprehension.

In short, read Moby Dick. Then complain that I make blocky walls of text.

There is a difference between a book, and a presentation of your community. If you are too lazy too make a good enough thread for less eye sores, then you obviously don't worry about playerbase. There is even an example which shows how to make a community thread.

Thats why people go "tl;dr" and don't join. You want people to join don't you?

P.S. You are like everyone else trying to make it here. Don't put yourself above others.

 

He cares more about his playerbase than advertising it. He wants people who spend time to read something to join, not those who are attentive to pretty pictures. It's not a good way of marketing himself, but it'll work for someone nonetheless.

So quick to condemn... Anyhow. I haven't been able to do much since my wonderful Desktop went capoot, I'll not get it back for a few days, then I'll continue working on the server. I don't plan on leaving it this time. Also, I'll post screenshots when I get my desktop back.

Yes, but I have to overhaul them once more. The old one was bot flooded before I discovered the plugins that help manage that.
