The Story of Two Unlikely Chinese Denizens and A Vortigaunt Companion

Some friendships are random; they can happen anywhere and at anytime if the circumstances are right. You will meet a lot of people in your life, and at the same time, a lot of them go just as easily as they came. Nothing can compare to the friendship of the three who lead an entire army of denizens to storm an oppressive force of OTA and CCA alike. Our story begins here...

A Chinese man named Gou Miyagi had just exited the sewers leading out of the dangerous, radioactive canals. He'd just escaped City 18 and was now peddling his way to freedom through the cold waters to freedom.

Suddenly, at the top of a ladder, a Vortigaunt was attacking a woman with a charged electrical attack from his palms. The woman was annihilated by the blast and thrown off the top of what appeared to be an old cargo exchange shack. The Vortigaunt screeched in joy at his triumph. His joy was short lived as he then noticed Gou Miyagi. Seeing an opportunity for more sport, he chased after Gou, who was already fleeing with his life.

Gou came across a pile of corpses at the top of a concrete platform with large shipping containers all around him. Out of breath and taken aback by this horrific site of mutilated corpses and charred remains, he could feel his legs shaking from anxiety. The Vortigaunt was quicker to come and walked right up to the corpses as if they were just obstacles in his path. The Vortigaunt then took one leap at Gou Miyagi and sliced his top torso open, leaving a large gash of spraying blood. Gou went flying back down the ramp and was then stopped by the mud and grass at the bottom of the incline. The Vort was quick to follow and then took one leap at Gou to try and sink his claws into him. Gou reacted in his dazed and pained state and kicked the Vort in the head with a good kick. Gou managed to get up and pushed himself back. The Vort recovered and started going for another claw attack...

But then...

"WHERE DO I FIND THE COMBINE BASE?"

A voice said, sounding like another Chinese man.

The two fighters turned their gaze up to another Denizen clutching an MP5K in his hands; a determined look was in his eyes and he looked ready to die.

Gou saw the opportunity to be of help to a passing stranger.

"I know where the Combine base is. Follow me!"

Gou's wounds quickly recovered like magic and the mud on his pants and back literally evaporated off of him. A new sense of purpose overwhelmed him. He was ready to help.

The Vort was perplexed at these two Chinese men and decided to aid them in their efforts to find the Combine base, protecting them as he seemed to appreciate their determination.



As they traveled up a dirty river known as the Kong-Loh river, they came across a CCA checkpoint with unmanned APCs and turret defenses. Not moved by this vacancy, the trio pushes forward.

"FUCK THE TRANSHUMANS!"

The leader of their team yells in defiance.



They stumble across what appears to be a rebel outpost. Fully operating doors lifted up completely, no one on guard it would appear.

"IN THERE!"

The leaders yells.



Upon discovery of a seemingly abandoned outpost, they realize that it would be as good a place as any, and maybe even better. They find a stockpile of old sodas branded "Ayy Lmao" and some Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

"This our base."

Their fearless leader announces.

"Okay."

Gou replies enthusiastically.



Minutes pass as they sit in their new base doing jack shit. They are losing their sense of purpose again and falling back into the dangerous, boring cycle of RP.

Suddenly, a figure is spotted outside. Gou alerts his leader of the perimeter breach and they react quickly and efficiently.



The breach turned out to be nothing more than a standardized shitizen who was trying to RP or make a sandwich or some bullshit nobody cares about.



Having exhausted much of their time dabbling in nothing but autism at their base, they realized that they weren't finding the combine base anymore more efficiently just sitting on their fat asses. They needed to keep moving.



The trio pushes up the Lih-Wang river, a river infested with some of the murkiest, dankest weed to ever hit mankind. It's also filled with lots of feces.



Gou senses that the Combine base is close due to his heightened taste sense. He licks the air and can taste the oppression. He then realizes there is an ammo crate sitting in the middle of a horde of zombies.

Nothing was inside so they continued onward.



As they push down into a much more tranquil and clean river, they seemed to have started a small resistance group without even knowing it. They have attracted the following of multiple other denizens who'd wish to take part in the Chinese uprsing. They push on.





The Chinese militia stumbles upon a group known as the "White Man's Pride," a secondary resistance faction known for their pride in white men. They are more colloquially known as the KKK. They team up in an effort to stop the oppressive OTA.



It appears that all their previous attempts at speech were muted unless certain key words were activated. It appears when they yell certain words like "Yeah," "Combine," "Cps," and more, their vocal cords are re emitted and are able to be used once more. They use this to their advantage in order to attract more for their armies.



More and more join the fight to stop the OTA and find the Combine base. Things are looking good in their odds. It gives the group a sense of power. Gou has changed his perspective on the situation now. At first, he was against the Vortigaunt trying to murder him in cold blood, but then, he realized that they had a similar distaste in the Combine. These two non-conflicting ideals have shown a connection between the two, and has fueled a friendship that cannot be broken.



The team of Denizens have been together through the grittiest of scenarios and have all came out alive. With this, they have hope that they will succeed in finding the Combine base and stopping the OTA.



The air is cold. The water is wet, and the birds are doing things. The clouds roll over head. The perfect day to die.

The combine base has been located! Gou, the Chinese man, and their entourage of shitizens storm the front! The Vort is quick to follow behind, leading the assault with them!



"STOP!"

A booming voice echoes throughout the canals, rattling the minds of all those who are near it. Gou, the Chinese man, and the Vortigaunt all spin in the direction of the voice...

A glowing aura of blue is seen in the midst of nothingness. Their assault has been halted for now.

"Chinese man. If your efforts to find the Combine base do not stop, then I shall have no choice but to eliminate your forces."

The voice says threateningly.

"Who are you?"

The Chinese leader says, raising his gun to the floating blue mass.

"I am the admin. I have been watching you for quite some time now, and I admire your persistence. However, you have come too far now. This area is full of IC turrets you cannot see but they are there, trusmedaddy."

"I do not care!..."

The Chinese man exclaims, raising his weapon in freedom.

"Fuck those combine! They kill wife and dog! I must kill because they are bad!"

The admin sighs.

"So be it, Chinese man."

The admin flies off.

"Chinese man, are you sure you want to do this?"

Gou says, placing a hand on Chinese man's shoulder.

"I has no choice. Combine are bad people and must be punished for atrocities committed to wife and dog. They must be eliminated."

Gou nods his head and furrows his brow.

"Right, we're behind you every step of the way, Chinese man!"

The army behind them shouts "Yeah!"



With no other weapons but the MP5K, they army charges directly towards the Combine base, preparing to fight barehanded if necessary. The Vortigaunt, Gou, and the Chinese man all push together in a true act of friendship. Their bond was stronger than the rest of the army combined. They knew their objective was from the start to find the Combine base, and by God, they completed that objective. The next goal was to attack the Combine base.

"Charge! CHARGE!"

The Chinese man shouted, raising his weapon and shooting towards three combine perched upon a railing. The bullets connect and he kills all three easily (in the server, shoot to kill was the rule.) The Vortigaunt pushes forward and eliminates two Combine at the top of a bridge near an APC.

"ROCKETS!"

The APC fires a rocket that was coming right for the original trio of heroes!

"LOOK OUT!"

They all jump but the rocket sends Gou flying into the air. He lands face down in the water. He could feel the sting of shrapnel lodged deep in his gut. He came up choking on water, flailing about desperately.

"GOU!"

The Chinese man says, rushing to his aid, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him out of the water near a truck.

"G-Go on without me, Chinese man."

Gou says, his life fading fast.

"NO!"

The Chinese man exclaims, tears welling up in his eyes.

Chinese man looked around and saw the Vort had been shot and killed after the rocket had blown up. His eyes widened at the sight of his friends dying.

The armies numbers were dropping rapidly, all of them shouting "Sometimes, I dream about cheese," "Combine," and "CPS!"

The Chinese man clutches the MP5K in his hands, squinting his eyes and gritting his teeth.

"COMBINES! YOU KILL FRIENDS! YOU KILL WIFE! YOU KILL DOG! YOU WILL PAY!"

Gou watched as his Chinese friend stormed right towards the flood gates of the combine base. All Gou could see before his vision finally faded to eternal blackness was Chinese man running right towards the combine shooting at him, bullets flying past him as he shot back.

Gou smiled and closed his eyes forever.

Eternal.


Darkness.


...



*5 months later.*

The devastation left of the Chinese militia assault was devastating. The forward operating base the OTA were using has been blown up, killing everyone within it, including those currently fighting inside.

The whereabouts of Chinese man were unknown at that point, nobody knew if he survived the blast or not.

...

A man had just exited the sewers leading out of the dangerous, radioactive canals. He'd just escaped City 18, a massive smouldering remain of a city, and was now peddling his way to freedom through the cold waters to freedom.

As he climbed up the ladder, he noticed how quite everything was. An old shoppe located to his left was seen vacant of any living person.

Coming up a concrete incline, he saw shipping containers that lay scattered throughout the concrete platform. He looked around for a shelter to spend the night in...

He found an open shipping container and dug around for some fire wood or something to start a fire.

When he found a message in a footlocker. It gave him hope for a better tomorrow...
