TheSerions introduction

Discussion in 'Introductions' started by TheSerion, Feb 12, 2014.

  1. Hello all!

I call myself TheSerion as sometimes, Serion is taken on forums. It makes me look like a pretentious cunt. Sorry.

I run a modest community called 'The Littertray' ([LT] http://littertray.com ). It started as a joke - I had a VPS and wanted a Hidden: Source Server that played 1 map 24/7 as it was my favourite. It got popular, so I wasn't able to join it without kicking someone when I got back from work. I made another - same story there, so I made another. People then asked for other 24/7 servers, so I obliged. Then I needed Staff, a bigger server - so forth and so on! The name 'Littertray' came from the fact I like cats and how people used to misbehave, teamkill and create havoc while I was at work. ("You alley-cats like to shit all over my servers while I'm away, huh? Good for you abusing the lack of authority.")

I rejoined the garrys mod scene after years and started my own TTT server after seeing so many obviously there for profit and not much else. Pay for admin, servers that entice loads in donations and then shutdown after a month; and servers that make you download donator hats and playermodels for half an hour before you can join made me rage. So I made my own; without blackjack, and hookers - but with GUNS. It became very popular, very fast.

Running a community is a demanding hobby that always requires tinkering - I've met so many wonderful people through it, had emotional outbursts good and bad and wouldn't give it up for the world.

After running that, prophunt and the website for almost a year, I recently checked out the currently 'most played' RP game-mode and was absolutely mortified as to what it had become. Physguns, Deathmatching, Donate-for-jobs and server administrators who can't be older than ten running the server how a ten year old would fly a plane.
I recently tried seeing if 'Cider' was still active, which eventually brought me here!

Other things about me I suppose - I work in a chippy at the moment, which is great! But looking to setup my own IT repair business sometime in the future. I'm currently watching MLP, Rick and Morty in my free time and my favourite music label is monstercat.

Hey - Shout out to 'Kudomiku' as I remember you - I loved your old community way back in Cider!

I'm glad you've made a thing for yourself here; you still work at PC World? Hope you are doing well man, your communities gave me a great time in the past and even met a best friend on the Cider server; whom I still keep in touch with now. I thought you were gone forever when the 'Kudomikus Scene' closed / moved and was pretty devastated.

Hopefully I'll come close to having the same, bustling and sometimes silly RP server I remember you had back then so I can show my gang a good time.

    Holla holla get ?.
