Clockwork: SpaceStationRP
(Currently found under CW:HL2RP)
Deep within space, there are more planets. No one knows about these planets, or what wonders could lie within them. Could there be nothing, or could there be aliens? Perhaps there could be more humans? No one knows what lies in the Great Frontier. The Next Frontier. The Final Frontier.
Introduction
SpaceStationRP uses SpaceBuild Maps due to the massive space-like area and multiple planets for people to colonize. The Federation oversees all the colonies of the planets, but one in particular is one on a lone astroid called XLR-13-DELTA, the first major space station to be made. XLR-13-DELTA, despite its small size, is home to many people and several officers of the Federation. Citizens of the station do jobs for the Federation for food and money, such as going to other planets to drill for ores, or collecting samples from an acid pool.
Canon
Somewhere in the future, possibly around 2377, the ability to sustain life in space has been perfected. One could now survive in a small shuttle by themselves for possibly forever. Shuttles are fitted with air scrubbers to filter the air. Special food machines create a sloshy mush of food from nothing. Deep space travel is finally possible in a few weeks, instead of many years.
Earth has spread its reach out, becoming less of Earth and more of The Federation. This Federation aims to colonize all inhabitable planets and search for alien life. Unfortunately, there weren't enough volunteers for these missions, so the Federation instated a kind-of lottery. Thirty people would be placed into a pool every 20 days. Five people would then be picked. The winners would stay on earth, never to be picked for the lottery again. The losers would be sent to a certain colony for further help and colonization of the planet.
As expected, many people disagree with this method of choosing people for the colonies, turning them towards rebellion. The Federation would then "silence" them. In turn, further people would join the rebellion. Does the Federation really have control of the colonies, or will they break free under the rebels and become their own?
Factions
Citizens
Citizens are simple... well. Citizens. They spend most of their time within Space Station XLR-13-DELTA, killing time until they're needed by the Federation. Good ways of time killing could involve: Space Soccer, Security Training, Murdering people by pushing them off the astroid. Federation jobs given to the citizens are not limited to: mining for rare resources, attempting to steal the "Nano-Cube" from the Ruins on Zero-Nine-Verena, or being shipped to the "Frozen Hurricane" for non-compliance.
Federation Officer
Essentially just nicer metropolice from the HL2 universe, they watch over civilians on the Space Station, and keep order in line. They will occasionally also be ordered by a higher up to go investigate the other planets. Only three have had to be sent to the "Frozen Hurricane" so far for rebellious behavior. The rest were shot.
Federation Riot Patrol
Essentially Overwatch from the HL2 universe, they respond to anything that requires action. They will: search for rebels hiding out on planets, respond to riots within the station, and eliminate alien threats. While they are feared inside their thick armor, many are just still normal people outside the armor... Just not all of them.
Union Workers
Ah shit. I forgot to change the name entirely from their HL2 counterpart. The Union Workers are those whom have more helpful jobs around the station, such as medical officer, or power-core technician. They earn more tokens than citizens, but are still treated about the same.
Station Manager
The station manager controls the station and, more literally, that section of space. They can command the Federation Officers, but only to an extent. It is the main job of the station manager to keep order on the station and stability of all the systems. Should the station be taken over, the station manager has final call to destroy the station, resulting in the loss of that sector of space.
Strange Alien
Strange life forms from a far away planet they call Xen. Though they only exist in the HL2 universe naturally, they seem to have found a way to bounce dimensions, which unfortunately also brought other hostile creatures with them.
