Tomo742 - About me

Hello I'm Tomo742, people who know me call me Tom.

I guess I'll start off by saying what I've done before in roleplaying and communities, firstly I'll start off with the roleplaying and community aspects of what I've done and then other things about me. I've been roleplaying for several years but have only roleplayed within garrysmod or hl2rp for about just over half a year now, surprisingly the first community I joined was FDG which may have not been too well known but was quite a fun little place to be. I made friends with everyone there and even got some great characters even being their essential GRID unit and an operator there and still are very good friends with all the members.

However when FDG's hl2rp section went down I had to move to another community, this is when I ended up with JACGmod's hl2rp section. For a while I just made myself known to everyone there, getting my main character into CWU within about two days and then getting MPF about a day after due to my roleplaying ability(That's what they said). A few months after when I had gotten on friendly terms with everyone there including the section leader, we had discussions about creating an outlands server for the community for others to join. Around this time one of their other admins had blamed said section leader for aparently trying to destroy the community along with ruining the server box, both of which untrue.

At this time both me and the section leader(Yurek) had decided to make our own community, now known as FTAshes. It was supposed to be a new home for my past FDG friends and anyone who didn't like any of the changes and issues that JACGmod had gained after losing the best section leader I had ever known in the few months of hl2rp that I had played.

Our community first started of as a bland and overmade cityRP server, over the course of the time we created our own custom canon and went over to outlandRP, some of the events being rushed due to only having around 10 people at the time and the server even got full to the brim with people. (Ofcourse it was probably due to the fact that it was the map that noobs swarm to.)

Then we customised everything even further, re-coding several things and plugins in order to create our days gone by canon of which is where we are now.

I'm twenty years old, currently go to college studying HNC level 4 within ICT doing programming and web design and the likes. I don't currently have a job as I cannot currently find one, whether it is related to ICT or not.

I spend most of my day either doing college work, mapping or fixing and playing on the server, which is currently locally hosted on my own computer as we've had a lot of issues with our server box and box owner which should be fixed soon.

In my spare time that I'm not mapping or doing college work etc, I'm often either speaking with friends, going to my nearest firing range and doing some target practice or playing other games .

Overall I enjoy what I do, I put everything I can into it and with as much effort as I can and I hope you enjoyed reading this essay about things.

Well, not really pen-pals or we'd be using pens, heh. However that was a fun time and I'm sad FDG went down, however I've heard it may be coming back up near summer I think.
