It is the year 2552. Over two thirds of the human population has been destroyed by the Theocratic Covenant Empire. Almost every colonized world is now uninhabitable or completely abandoned. Earth is our last stand. With the betrayal of the Sangheili by the Covenant and the return of Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, the tables have been turned in the war. After twenty-five years and countless casualties, we are now ready to take the fight to them. One High Prophet remains. Truth.
The UNSC Marine Corps is a branch of the United Nations Space Command Defense Forces responsible for land-based military operations. Their role takes a more offensive one, as opposed to the Army who takes a more defensive role. This is one of two starting whitelists in the server. You will begin as a Private and receive basic training. After completing training, you will be promoted to Private First Class and be recognized as a standard infantry rifleman. Most players wanting to participate in ground combat will use this whitelist. The only sub-faction of the Marine Corps is the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. As an ODST, you will participate in special warfare operations within a six man squad. ODSTs are applied for on the forums. The sub-faction is currently full.
The UNSC Navy is a branch of the United Nations Space Command Defense Forces responsible for naval operations in both space and in water. This is the second and final starting whitelist of the server. Upon creating a character in the UNSC Navy, you will begin as a Crewman Recruit and receive basic training. Afterwards, you will be promoted to Crewman Apprentice and recognized as a standard crewman of the UNSC Navy. There are many sub-factions for the UNSC Navy. One of these is the naval pilot. With the use of WAC Halo vehicles on our server, there is a need for those to pilot them. We offer players the chance to prove their ability to use them correctly, and to participate in flying ships during appropriate times. Another sub-faction is the Navy Hospital Corpsmen. Due to the lack of medical personnel within the Marine Corps, the need for it is supplemented by UNSC Naval Corpsmen, much like the USMC and USN in real life. Naval Corpsmen participate in ground combat and act as on field medical personnel. Another sub-faction of the Navy is the Office of Naval Intelligence, which itself has it's own sections. You will serve as Military Intelligence. The last sub-faction of the Navy is the SPARTAN-III program. All three slots are currently filled. SPARTAN-IIIs are applied for on the forums, like most sub-factions, with the exception of a large amount of trust needed to play the faction.
The Swords of Sanghelios is a separatist faction led primarily by the Sangheili, also known as the Elites. This faction is applied for on the forums. The starting rank of the Covenant Seperatists is a Sangheili Minor. Promotions are granted based on merit, as opposed to leadership ability. A knowledge of Sangheili culture and customs is needed to play this faction, and a lack of knowledge will likely result in de-whitelist.

Etymology:
"Touchdown" is a military term referring to aircraft making contact with the ground. Why we picked this name? It was a joke that had coincidental meaning behind it.
Our Ideology:
What is the most irritating thing in roleplay servers? Joining them, and having no right to speak your mind. "Administration word is law, Administration is always right." It just makes your independent blood boil, doesn't it? We have two big philosophies. One of them being that humans are humans and make mistakes. We do not ban for admin disrespect. However, that only means that administrators have as much right as the player does to speak their mind. We do not appreciate out of character drama, and our other philosophy is to have no tolerance towards it. Of course, people get upset at certain scenarios and will have a bit of a fit because of it. That is quite okay, we understand. However, we will not tolerate mass amounts of unneeded drama just to start flame, etc. We only want this to be a fun environment, not one to simulate Jerry Springer every time you connect.
Current Setting:
We are currently set in South Sudan, bordering Kenya which is where the events of Halo 3 took place during it's setting on Earth. We are soon due for the Battle of Installation 00, and wherever our story takes us afterwards. Our server's story will progress towards the post war, where factions and whitelists will remain the same, but a large change in story will occur.

Although many canon characters will be mentioned due to them being publicly known, we will not be having canon characters in the server. This is to stop any controversial thoughts of their appearance.

We are currently hosted on Xenon servers and must pay monthly for our server. With donations, we do not necessarily give anything but a 'thank you', to avoid the 'pay to win' complex that comes with most donations for items.
