Introduction
Hey there, I'm Arcade. Most of you probably already know me from communities like Shockcore Gaming or Eve Gaming where I've actively played and administrated. Lately, however, I've decided to branch out and create my own server because I figured; "wanna do something right? Do it yourself." so, I gathered a few of my close friends and started work on opening up a server. Of course, the majority of us don't know anything about servers (thank god for @Lev who helped me set it up) and have mostly held Administrative positions in previous communities.

Of course, this being my first attempt at a server I recognize that it might not go well. But my goal is to create a fun, enjoyable roleplay environment for you guys.

If you want some details about the server, it runs on the HL2RP schema (obviously) and I'm currently using NFO servers as a host with the serving being based in Chicago, the United States.

The server will be mostly story-based, with elements of PVE and PVP involved. Out of action, it will be heavily passive orientated.

Server Setting
The current year is 2025. It's been fifteen years since the Human Revolt against Combine rule, led by the esteemed Dr. Gordon Freeman, which claimed many lives and saw the fall of City Seventeen, and eventually the fall of the Combine Empire on Earth. Europe has been in political turmoil ever since, with constant warring between newly founded nations and states. For the whole of the fifteen years after the war, hundreds of small towns turned against each-other fighting for land and power. Many had the dream of uniting Europe, and eventually the world.

Out of the warring emerged two blocs, the Lambda based in their original territories of Eastern and Southern Europe and the United Nations.

Blue is the United Nations territories
Orange is Lambda territories

The server takes place on a Lambda controlled, fully operational dam which provides power to the majority of the area surrounding it. You play as a member of the Lambda cell that is currently deployed and defending the thing both from man, and nature.

Communications have mysteriously went dark between the Dam team and the nearest Lambda outpost, and supply caravans have been scarce.


Founded by survivors of the Black Mesa, and notorious for it's bright minds, manpower and famous ability to jury rig Combine technology. The Lambda is regarded as the first, original movement dedicated to the direct opposition of Combine rule over Earth. After the death of Eli Vance, the next leader was elected by those stationed at the White Forest Base to lead the organization past it's troubles.

Marching onward guided by ideals of democracy, personal freedoms and liberty the Lambda swept through Combine strongholds in the East - sacking forts and occupying outposts which were slowly used to expand the frontier of Lambda borders. It is held in strong regard by a large portion of Earth's population.


The "United Nations" was one of the many political entities founded after the fall of the Combine. Founded by former American Congressman and City Administrator Alexander Urban. It is widely resented by some, due to the fact that it is seen to the spiritual successor to the Universal Union due to the fact that it was created by a former City Administrator and it's armed forces are majority made up of formerly Metropolice Force and Conscript units - the Conscript uniform coming in as the standardized one for the armed forces and police.

Due to it's authoritarian policies, the state had a massive migration crisis in the early stages of post-Combine rule, with many of it's "citizens" fleeing across the wastelands of Southern Europe or East into Lambda territories.

Due to this, the nation has a manpower problem when it comes to it's military. But what it lacks in numbers, it makes up for in tactical prowess and technological strength.

I have to admit, the only thing I've assembled staff-wise is my administration team. I lack a coder and graphical artist (mostly due to funds).

Misc. information:
The server is currently not up and is being worked and tweaked with. I expect it to be fully done within 1-3 weeks.

Unfortunately you don't start in UN territory. I'd love to have seen that though, would've been hilarious.

Tbh i think it'd be a better model to use for the UN faction

Also, how is the Lambda organized as a whole? Certainly they can't just survive with small sects everywhere.
