Urbex, with old souvenirs involved.

So, I was looking around a very old abandoned building that's around 150 years old, give or take. I'm in there with a buddy of mine, and we're walking around, and something underneath a floorboard catches our eye. This is the result. I was very surprised that it still worked. It might not look it in the photos, but it's pretty beat up in the back of the player, with a missing button or two. While this probably isn't as cool as some other finds, I thought I'd share it with you lot.

So, thoughts? Anyone else hold interest in any sort of Urbex?

 

Play the casette, I'm sure it'll release some demon since it was hidden under a floorboard.

 

Cassette aside, your voice is amazing, you should narrate something if it ever crosses your mind.

@The Lovely Pyro, there was no cassette in the player, unfortunately. Only a radio station setting.

as @Outline said, your voice is pretty smooth, you should narrate stuff.
aside from your voice, i didn't know you explored buildings, you should make videos about that.

I kinda want to buy like cassette players from some place, make them look damaged or old then place them in abandoned buildings or just random places throughout the city and they'll play G-Man speeches throughout HL2-Episode Two.


That gave me the idea and holy shit it's amazing

 

I turned it back on, and the songs it plays are from around the 60's - 80's. The one it's playing now is by Climax Blues, "Couldn't Get It Right." That's from like 1977 I think. These tunes aren't all that bad.

EDIT: Playing Ragdoll by Aerosmith now. The sound quality is actually great, lmao.

I thought about that. I suppose I could upload the video I have of the house, but I lose my barrings in the attic, which is why a couple of rooms are re-visited.

i love urbex, because its something that i'll literally never do. we should have an urbex general thread.

 

Bring a partner, and something to protect yourself with, and chances are you'll be fine if you don't go looking for trouble. It's sort of hard finding abandoned buildings around here, but I manage. There's a few around here, just gotta find 'em.

The moment that door fell right off it's hinges, I would've gotten the fuck out because that could mean the remainder of the building is rotting

 

We figured as much but decided to go inside anyways. We later on figured out that the house was being redone.

Most likely, yeah. Maybe even a deck or fire escape.
