VulcanRP | Half Life 2 Roleplay

Hi. I'm Gabe from VulcanRP. We are a community based on HL2RP, and currently in development. We need admins and donations to get the server up and running properly. We are taking all of your suggestions/complaints about other servers to make a roleplaying community loved by everyone. For example, we know how most people hate how server owners/superadmins give themselves all high-ranking CCA characters. We are solving this problem by having people apply for SeC, CmD, City Administrator, C.W.U leader, etc. (Yes, you have to join the CCA before you can apply for CmD or SeC.)

Now, we don't have many staff members. We need mature, grammatically skilled people with COMMON SENSE! Our applications for staff open in 2 days or less.

Now, the problem. As I said, we need donations. We don't have the funds to launch the server yet. We need some donations to get the server up. Of course, there are donation perks. We are having a special deal where you can donate for Vortigaunt whitelist, instead of applying. This deal ends at the server launch, so take advantage of this deal fast! Haven't even begun to alight my interest.

 

You spent literally over 50% of this thread begging us to give you money. Why don't you make a decent server that deserves donations instead of a thread that blabs about high ranked positions, then asks for cash? Roleplay isn't about making money, it's about having a game for people to play.

Antlions, in the fucking city, how much kibble have you been smoking? Donation perks are a joke. A joke. The fact that you're here, begging for donations for shit, it's stupid. People should donate for the server, and only the server.

I'll never understand the point of having headcrabs, zombies, birds or antlions as a faction that can be played, let alone paying for it.

 

Wow, you can't even take constructive criticism towards your server. Why are you even running a community, anyways?

 

Paying for it helps pay for hosting the server. On the server that I own, zombies, headcrabs, and antlions are not allowed to leave the sewers unless of an event. Birds are just for the sake of atmosphere.

 

I can take constructive criticism. I own a community in the attempt to please the people. I am deleting it because everybody hates it, and I don't want to ruin everybody's mood. I'm open to constructive criticism.

 

Also, I'd really move out of freeforums if you can. They look hideous.

It seems by the OP you forgot the difference between roleplay and content filled mess. Look, focus on the roleplay, not stupid factions and characters. Just. Focus. On. Roleplay. Period.

I disagree on antlion/zombie/[insert creature name here], and I'll tell you why.

In my opinion, they are not suitable for roleplay because they do not have a developed mind like humans or vortigaunts, making their character development absolutely non existant. You could forget about having cool things like creature characters and focus on having everyone be human/vortigaunt, so there is actual character development instead of this:

[me=Stupid Antlion Nickname]crawls around the sewers, eats headcrabs, kills people, gets killed.[/me]

I also think that invasion events are absolutely overdone and terrible, it is the cheapest way to bring action since every server has probably done it. You should sit for a few minutes and think about a realistic event to have some action, but not all of it involves Combine/Resistance shooting aliens while the citizens are locked up in an appartment building.
