    WARPAC
"Communism isn't sleeping; it is, as always, plotting, scheming, working, fighting."

Khrushchev looked up from the report and nodded, a bead of sweat rolling down his brow. "This is genocide, Mr. President.", quipped the figure at the other end of the table. Khrushchev locked his gaze on the figure and coldly replied, "No, comrade. This is war."

And so the fleet turned from Cuba and began the long journey back to the homeland, as per the direct orders from Khrushchev. The US missiles remained on the Turkish border as the Americans celebrated their victory over the Soviet Union. It wasn't until two weeks later that the intentions of the Soviets became clear.

The first report of sickness arose from Washington D.C itself, and it wasn't long before it was a nation-wide epidemic. People were urged to stay in their homes and avoid contact with anyone outside. Riots plagued a majority of the country with the implemented martial law having little effect on the chaos. T.V stations dropped off the air, telephone lines went down and eventually electricity itself went offline. The entire nation fell silent.

A month later, the U.S.S.R began the first of many routine spy plane flights to scour the remains of the once bustling U.S.A. Their initial reports showed no signs of life, and all reports after that showed no deviations. The sickness spilled through U.S borders and collapsed anything it touched.

And so began the Soviet occupation of the world.

    About:

WARPAC is an exclusive Clockwork gamemode set in a parallel universe on the eastern coast of America, 2010. A weaponized strain of smallpox manufactured by the U.S.S.R knocks the U.S, as well as it's neighboring countries, off of the map for several decades until the re-occupation of the landmass.

WARPAC is a RPG/Shooter with a large focus on crafting & a minor focus on leveling. It has many gameplay systems which throw the player into an immersive and diverse gameplay environment.

    Content:

    - Map unique to WARPAC.
    - Music composed for the gamemode.
    - Various gameplay mechanics mentioned below.
    - Custom Models/Skins for both players and objects in the gamemode.

    Gameplay Mechanics:

    - Crafting System
    - Leveling System
    - Capture Point System
    - Minion & Boss Fight System
    - Item Dispersion Mechanic
    - Resource Gathering System
    - Medical System

The above mechanics are due to be elaborated upon.

    Note to controversy:

As some of you may have heard, there was a recent incident involving the community in which WARPAC was created under. Myself and Danny, the owners of the late 'Deviant Gamers' decided to shut down the community, due to issues within the community. There was a misunderstanding in which some of our members believed we ran off with donations for our own good. After opening up and explaining to our ex-members the reasons behind the swift shut-down, amends were made and the threads containing said controversy were taken off of Cloud Sixteen, to the benefit of both parties.

Those of you who had viewed the old thread may have noticed a complete overhaul in the story-line. This was done for two reasons. The first reason is that one of our previous staff members worked with myself to create the WARPAC timeline and canon. We have since broken ties with the mentioned staff member, and out of respect for their work on the project we have decided not to use any of their content. The name WARPAC however, will stay, as this was decided upon by myself. The second reason is that the name 'WARPAC' had very little to do with the previous canon. The Warsaw Pact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Pact) was entirely a cold war document rather than a second world war document, and so the name had no place in the previous story-line.

We hope that this clears up any questions you may have had about the previous controversy. If you still have any questions, feel free to add me on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/bl00dprime/

Rumors are made by haters, rumors are spread by idiots, and rumors are accepted by morons. I just hope you aren't part of the latter.

    Oh, well.

    Looks good!

    7/10 Nice sequal.

    Huh.

Alrighty then. I suppose this is something to keep my eye on, Blood.

Also, Diablo, read the last paragraph talking about the DG debacle, I hope that clears certain things up.

Is this community full of people that actually want to RP or is it a "Who can hoard the most g00nz" Competition. If its the first option i'm in because this looks like the only decent place left.

WARPAC doesn't have a specific community as of yet, however we hope to attract a mature gaming audience to create the best experience for everyone. I'll be able to give out more information when we get closer to the release :)

Are any previous community members (y'know) going to get access to WarPac? I still would like to play.

Not pointing fingers here, either. ^_^

Alpha & Beta testing will require testers, however we won't necessarily be selecting people from any past communities, but rather friends of the developers. What is your steam name now? I'll keep you posted!

Through careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the WARPAC project here.

It has just passed the tenth month of waiting for a developer key. The Clockwork framework is far too undocumented to make any real productive progress, and this lack of documentation would also cause future issues when it comes to patching/updating the gamemode.

However, if there is anything the Stewart Little movie taught us, it is that every cloud has a silver lining.

WARPAC is not cancelled. We have begun the construction of our own framework, which opens far more possibilities for the gamemode, as well as creating high hopes for the sustained health of the project.

Keep an eye out on Facepunch, our time to rise is a growing dot on the horizon.

There ARE other frameworks for roleplaying other than CW...why not just convert things over to there?

Most other frameworks are shit in every way. The only decent one up to now, was Clockwork, but it seems this is dying. If they make their own framework, they'll get to implement what they deem necesarry, instead of having a pre-chewed, spat out framework.
