What do you plan to be when you grow up?

i plan on spending at least four years in the military as a mechanic, dont know much past that

 

Planning on becoming a specialized type of engineer- a robotics engineer. I heavily enjoy engineering in of itself (the mechanical and electrical parts alone are enjoyable to me), but robotics is one of my greater passions.

I'm already taking steps to pursue these goals. I'm already taking some specialized Pathway Classes at my school for Engineering, and I'm in the Robotics Club aswell. (FIRST Robotics, it's a national competition.) Once completing this pathway (which is a part of Project Lead the Way if you're interested in joining these classes, they can really help your future as an engineer), If you have a 80 or above average in the introduction class, along with your engineering notebook & portfolio (which we do keep), you can actually get a college credit to skip the introduction engineering class in college, and be ahead in general. (Which saves a huge chunk of your time.)

My secondary passion is coupled with robotics (as you need to able to program a robot software wise)- Computer Science. As with the Engineering, I'm already taking some special classes on this pathway. (Computer Principles, Programming, junk like that.)

I'm actually really glad to be at the school that we go to, it's a pretty unique program, and it's really cool- all the oppurtunities we get. Georgia Power & Gulfstream pump money into my school, so we get a lot of cool oppurtunities with them like work-based learning (half of your school day is spent working with them, YOU GET PAID, and once you're out of high-school and or college, you ALREADY have a job, along with a greater chance of keeping that job due to the fact that the company /possibly/ already knows you.) or visiting engineers (the other day we got some guys form the Army Corps. of Engineers) which provides us with a chance to get contacts and help with a lot of engineers.

Along with this, I'm actually taking some entrepreneurship pathway classes.

Anyways- sorry, I got really sidetracked. Robotics Engineer. Yeah. (As you can see by the shitstorm I typed above, I'm really passionate about this, and even more excited!)

EDIT: I don't really see myself pursueing game development or web development as a full on job. At best, a hobby I enjoy doing.

Navy, I've had a great interest in flying planes in the navy.

 

I'm currently enrolled in college for Computer Programmer, so as you can probably guess, something programming related.

 

I don't do it professionally, mind you. I work at an IT company.
