What faction will you join if the combine invade v2

Thread title, simple enough.

For me it depends really.
Do I have a family in that time period? If yes, I will join the Universal Union. Preferably Civil Administration or Metropolice Force.
Do I not have a family in that time period? I will join the Resistance as some kind of checkpoint guard, manning a very small station alone or with one friend and sit out my time till I get killed or do something meaningful.

What about you?

 

I'd probably be killed like most of humanity.

It depends in the situation, really.
If I don't get killed, I'll probably become a loyalist. I don't have to beat my fellow citizens with stunsticks or govern the enemy.
If I have a family or someshit, probably join CP to protect them.

Well, unless you trully support the UU, which wouldnt make much sense, you wouldn't join the OTA. If you do it's techincally like dying. It's a one-way ticket to lose your freedom. Well, your remaining freedom you would have as a citizen.

 

Everyone seems compliance to joining the UU.

very little people would actually become rebels, the type of people who say they would are the same people who would say if they were a nazi officer during WW2 they'd save the jews. no you wouldn't, people aren't that brave.

 

very few in the roleplaying community would probably rebel, but I'm sure there'd be so many across the globe, from military to fanatics to people who have already exposed to bad conditions who would instead.

you think the nazi officers weren't exposed to bad conditions? they were just normal guys who were numbed to the things they were doing, none of them said no because they didn't want to force their comrades to do the horrible things alone/instead, granted a lot of them were probably monsters who enjoyed it but most of them weren't, and still there was no conscientious objection. it's really interesting to think about, but also a morbid thought to think if the combine did invade, theoretically, we'd probably be far more fucked than HL2 portrays.

 

I would of corse resist and go against the Combine i mean how can you go against your own race? the Combine is literally enslaving the Human race that means everyone how can you go against your own race. How dumb can you be?
