What goes into making a framework?

What goes into making a framework?

Not just the pretty menus and the attribute points - but what REALLY goes into a framework? I'm looking for a specific - rather detailed description on what is included in a framework.

    Thank you,

  2. What goes into making a computer?

    It's the same concept.

You make a skeleton for other things to build on off of.

If you have a RAM slot, then you could use whatever RAM supports that slot.

Go look at SWEP and SWEP Bases, as they are the /sort/ of same concept.

    It's a base.

    The foundation.

    etc

  3. The derma isn't even any big part of the framework, it's actually rather small.

You'll probably spend most of your time developing systems for how stuff works, all the backend stuff and all. Things like the actual character creation and management. That being said data storage is a huge thing, you need something that works well or the entire thing will crumble.

Then you have all the jazz that makes it playable, like chatting, commands, interface, visual effects, etc.

So in short: a lot of hard work.
