Which servers do you think were/still are the foundation of HL2RP?

Probably Quantum Gaming (The old one not the 3 reruns that failed so hard they never saw the light of day), it was the first HL2:RP server I joined & was the #1 Australian server for a long time.

1 re-run actually was pretty successful lol, about 18-20 players daily with some ACTUALLY decent rp and some ACTUAL good rp'er. too bad it shut down, cause i think rev got pissed or something idk

I was talking about the 3-4 times technosandwich tried to restart QG, they all never got past the forum or the dev. server, was there another rerun besides his reruns?

one, they did a AMAZING job at mirroring Quantum-Gaming IMO, i'm not fully sure on who the owner was, but I do know that the experience was basically the same exact experience I had on the original. balanced resistanced, actual GOOD units, things to spice up citizen rp, daily events, things like that. but as i said, i think rev (original owner of QG) got angry that it was successful, and demanded it was to be shut down or something. thats what i heard

    Endorsed.

LP is NOT cool. Only to minge on, because most of the time you can kill about half their population, and have the luck of not punching an admin, before an admin comes to you, and talk to you about your sins.

ALSO, Don't pay attention to those fake-admins, just keep on going!

    Seriously though.

LP is what's wrong with the Community these days. Many people complain their servers aren't populated anymore, and no, I can understand that. If you go on LP, and are brainwashed by its popularity, and you make some friends, the Nexus falling down becomes ALMOST bearable. You get your PET Flags, and boom, isolated from the rest of the shitfest world.

You know, that's pretty much LP..

In quality, oh hell yeah. Playerbase could use a boost, though. Not to mention your little episode. ;)

Started SeriousRP/HL2RP back on X-Hosters in late 2009, I have some brilliant memories from my time there.

I think Relentless roleplay was a leading RP server. It seems to have died though. :3

  16. Freedom4Gamers. It didn't follow retail storyline entirely, it took concepts of the beta and combined it with the retail story, first it looked more like retail and in the end it looked like the beta (except for a few things that were removed/changed/already there).

At least that's the one I could find in my whole HL2RP experience, I'm sure there could be other ones around or were. I was looking forward to Omega9, too.

Sadly, I noticed that what I said doesn't have anything to do with high population, I meant quality.

  19. All the servers that were the foundation of HL2RP are non-existent now... That is in terms of servers though. Only three notable communities which started/impacted it all, kuroMeku's Republic (Now C16), TnB (Before Dave Brown/Zara Kane had a powertrip), and Our Benefactors.

Relentless was helped out by the owner of Our Benefactors, which is the reason they got very good, and died out of nowhere, he more or less cut them off and it went to utter shit when nobody could maintain what he had done for them. Mario was also a complete moron.

The Gentleman's Gaming Lounge, before clockwork was even a thing.

Had a custom script and revolved around roleplay, and only roleplay, with a very minimalist and utility-oriented script. 90% of the script was things to make the game more visually pleasing and easy to organize, along with /me, /it, /broadcast, /radio, /rooc, /rdispatch, //, and .// support.

Died when the primary fundthrower ragequit when he got banned for constantly joining and minging.

    I miss it dearly.
