Why do NONE of you get on CW: Half-Life 2 RP anymore?

I literally see hundreds of people on the forums with "Schema buyer tags" and such, but none of you play HL2RP. I see other CW schemas, and those are empty too. What happened? Did you all quit or something?

 

There's a few long-standing HL2RP servers that I usually see have a good population, so it's certainly not dead.

You might be living too far from servers, since GMod only allows the first few thousand servers to show or something, else you need to connect via IP.

 

It's Half-Life 2 Roleplay that is why.

 

@zoo889 I do connect via IP. I'm just asking why the Clockwork members don't get on.

 

generally this forum thinks the quality of hl2rp servers in general are ass (they are right for the most part)
either that or they're not in it anymore, have their own communities or stick to a server or two

use that out of game server browser
makes all servers show up

 

imagine it like this

you learn to skateboard. you join a skateboard forum in hopes to find more friends to skateboard with or to learn some new tricks, or just ask some questions. eventually, you like the people and the forum, so you stay on it while you get better and better at skateboarding. however, at some point, you get incredibly bored of skateboarding, and quit - you don't like it anymore, but you might do it from time to time. however, you still really like the forum and the community, so you stay on it even though you aren't continuing the activity

Game-Crippling gmod updates, coupled with a lot of new games coming out, as well as gmod not going so great overall, and a lack of actually decent HL2RP servers; the odds are against it, really.

actually that looks good, however you should add something along the lines of "sometimes you want to go back, but all of the skateboarding parks are dominated by obnoxious people who only skateboard to look cool and not because its fun, therefor ruining the experience for you"

 

Plus, sometimes there's places you go to earn new boards or wheels for your boards, and those places don't care about the people that have been skating for years, they don't care about loyal skaters, and they show this by selling off things that people should instead earn, just to make a quick buck. The skate park has become a business, and what was something people once went to for fun is now monopolized, leaving many of the old skaters disgruntled, left out, forgotten.

However, there exists a park some speak of in whispers and rumors, a park that works the opposite, a skate park that's about the old ways of skating, the way it used to be, the way it should be.

 

Mind telling me of this secret skatepark?

 

I'm banned from every server except like two or three.
And recently I just got banned from SCG for, "Animal Porn x9" and "Exploiting crate glitches".

yeah, I got banned by Doc and some other buttmad admin then I asked marlon to unban me, then doc made up shit about me abusing animations and marlon couldn't remove it as a whole and simply reduced it.
and Paul was happy about me being banned or what

I quit HL2RP for the same reasons most other people did, really. Style is just boring and repetitive now. As well as the huge amounts of rebels that act more like they were former members of Sniper Team Delta, the SAS, SBS, Spetznas and all that shit shoved into one person..

 

I think people just give up too easily, plus people like @Kyundi are getting banned 24/7, which isn't exactly a bad thing when the server you got banned on is sheit.

 

And sometimes, the skateboard park has people who use Bicycles and annoy the hell out of everyone by trolling, racism, using illegal parts on their bicycles, and making no sense (glitching into nexus, etc.) which makes other peoples leave the skateboard park or the security comes and kicks them out of the skateboard park

 

or when the trolls beat the shit out of the security and keep doing it

Or the skateboarding park slowly fills up with 11 year olds who claim to be ex-military and actually shoot you in the leg with a heavy machine gun if you make them upset or tell them no.
