Why do NONE of you get on CW: Half-Life 2 RP anymore?

I don't RP where there ain't no RP.

 

Servers just don't have RP. A lot of them are really new to RP, or are there to minge. I can't handle either of thoses

 

Hmph. I don't know what to do, really. Maybe one of you should make a server that's lore-wise and vanilla? That's literally all I want, lol, a server that's just like the HL2 lore and pretty vanilla-ish. The shit I hate most on servers are the fucking resistance. They kill CITIZENS instead of taking them in and having refugee camps like Half-Life 2. But yeah, one of you guys should make a server.

 

What you're asking for is admins to force resistance to act a certain way. That's not fun, at least not for me.

 

Resistance act like that though, and I'm not forcing them, I'm just asking for a group of good RPers to do so. If you're trying to kill citizens, don't join the resistance, just be an average rebel edgelord, then. Resistance are supposed to help citizens and take back Earth, not kill a shitton of citizens or comrades.

I thought the point of RP was to create your character how you wanted them to be? You're also acting as if there is a faction specifically for resistance. There is no 'joining' the resistance. You can call yourself whatever you want, and you're trying to take away that freedom.

 

Did you see them killing citizens in Half-Life 2? No, you didn't, because in the end, they're all comrades. The point of RP is to create your char, but you can't be an Ex-Spetsnaz SWAT Military SAS Marines guy. That's complete bullshit since the Combine finished them all off, and made them Overwatch Soldiers.

 

That is true. I have made a few chars who were ex-police/military (No, they weren't in Spetsnaz or anything like that, that would be OP). If they're bandits, they just probably wouldn't have the uniform unless they looted it off of a person.

I love HL2RP but EVERY fucking server eats so much crow shit. No one roleplays anymore, it's all these short /mes and these edgy fucks who ERP 8 times an hour and they should only be RPing syphilis. The owners I've seen on EVERY server are just complete retards who have no idea what the word "responsibility" means and they're just remnants of a rebel gang from another server.

 

Well, like I've said, people should make a server themselves that aren't crow shit, really. You're a clockwork customer, if you have the CW: HL2RP schema, you should make a server.

 

Sixx' community has a server in the making that's trying to be as crow shit-less as possible. Maybe worth looking into once it's released.

As for the post. I just rarely if ever get the feeling of wanting to stay in a server once I join. It's usually due to several reasons. Strange owners, shite handling, way too much ERP.
Seems finding a decent community just keeps getting more rare by the day.

I don't play that much because of the drama, it seems like I join a community for a month or two, then they shutdown due to staff quiting and shit.

 

Admins/Owner or Co Owner abusing their powers to their advantage, aswell as it seems like admins like to take the Civil Protection units side majority of the time in an argument.

 

I still play HL2RP on occasion. But I usually only do it to help out server owners such as outcasted.

 

Here's why servers are shit nowadays!

1. People go on a shit server and think "Woah hey this is shit."
2. People THEN think they can make their own server and it won't be shit.
3. It is shit because they think they're omnipotent or just don't know how to be an admin.
4. People go on the server and think "Woah hey this is shit."

I have to agree with that. People go onto the smallest population servers and think, "Hey, I have no power..."
Then they go make their all powerful dictatorship server and call it the best one.
