What is WW2 CampaignRP
WW2 CampaignRP, in how it functions as a RolePlay can be comparable to any strategy game with a campaign function. There are headquarters, in which soldiers train and which soldiers will garrison. Then a mission pops up, and you select an amount of soldiers to go on that mission and send them on their way. WW2 CampaignRP is similiar. During the week, we have our normal HQ map. On the HQ map, mostly the U.S Army will be playing. What the U.S Army will be doing is training, passive RPing, having ceremonies, promoting, the usual patrol and possibly fend off a German recon team. That's what we do mid-week. During the weekend, the server will switch maps to play an mission. The missions can vary, at the weekend you might be rescuing an captured soldier or taking out an artillery positions that has been shelling our HQ map for the week. Mostly we know what for mission we will be having at the start of the week, so we can prepare for it. As example, we need to capture an airfield. Squad Leaders and Platoon Leaders will keep themselves busy with training their soldiers in light infantry warfare.

1-501 PIR, A Company
"Screaming Eagles"
One of the two main factions is the United States Army, the 101st Airborne Division. We will be playing the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment on the United States Army. The 501st PIR specialises in parachute drops over enemy territory, and that is exactly what we will be doing on the server. We have an workshop addon that allows you to become an ragdoll in air, and then deploy an parachute, which should give a kickass immersion when playing as an paratrooper. The 1-501 PIR, A Company exists for 90% out of combat units, and is supported by non-combat units such as medics, quartermasters and warrant officers. If a player does not prefer combat RolePlay, the option of a non-combat character is available.
P.S: We are also using the technical ranks of the United States Army, which were used in the 1942-1945 period. This means soldiers specialising in certain technical fields of work will have an entirely different rank path then other soldiers.

This is the other main faction. The Werhmacht can be split up in two sub-factions. You have the
Recon Team and the regular
Wehrmacht. On the HQ map, RolePlay is primarily focused on the US Army, since it is their HQ. Recon Team will consist of a maximum of about 8 to 10 Wehrmacht soldiers who will be harassing US Army soldiers. During missions, the full might is present of the Wehrmacht. This means all other squads of the Wehrmacht that were trained will be present on the mission too.
On the server we will be playing in the 5th Infantry Division, 10th Regiment, 3rd Batallion, D Company which is part of Army Group B. Army Group B was the Army Group Rommel got assigned to temporarily before he was imprisoned by Hitler, by that you know that the server will be taking place in northern France and over time will progress to Belgium/Netherlands/Germany, a path many paratrooper soldiers took, and Germans went to defend. Most soldiers on the Wehrmacht have a combat role, but D Company is lightly supported by non-combat roles such as quartermasters and officers.

Combat RolePlay
For a fuller guide on Combat RolePlay, go here:

Summary: S2K is allowed during some phases of combat, weapon damage is reduced, when hit you injuryRP.
If you checked our guides tab, and investigated the "Squad Tactics" post you will notice there is a heavy emphasis on squad RolePlay, since we have posted all kind of squad-related issues there. Such as formations and physical commands. Squads are extremely important on the server, squad leaders are the highest ranked officers who will be in direct contact with soldiers at all times, they fight together and die together. Squads are compromised of a few riflemen and then soldiers who specialise in certain backgrounds, such as:
* Radio Telephone Operators
* Mechanics
* Machineguners
This means during combat, squads will form the frontline during battlefields. Behind them, on safer grounds platoon HQ is located. Platoon HQ has the platoon officers, some vehicles and medics who will help frontline troops when necessary. Like picking up wounded soldiers or delivering ammo to machinegunners. Far behind that is Company HQ, which also has officers who will be giving their field orders over radio. Platoon HQ and Company HQ serve as tactical retreat points, but should mostly not engage in direct combat. They play an supportive role.

End Word.
It's been a while since I last created a community, I did in a more far-away past make a couple of WW2rps. Usually I was just playing my games, and then you get added by an veteran player asking you when the "next WW2rp" would be up. I'd usually say "Never." but after a while I found myself back with some old staff members, and we planned this all the way up from the bottom again, letting go of a few conservative ideals from our other WW2rps, hoping to progress with new ideas such as campaignRP. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them below.

You can always add me, we can have a chat, maybe play a game of WW2rp in the future.
Release date:
Easter Weekend.
I will make a reply to this thread 1~2 hours before we go up. The first hours of the server will consist of Basic Combat Training and then we will airdrop into Normandy to help our Marines on the beaches, currahee!
We also got a cool prone mod. It works, standing up, lying down animations et cetera. It's nice!
