  1. Hello, fellow readers.
Today, I'm going to talk about RoleplayCantina. RoleplayCantina is a new improvement of the old GamingCantina. After a few weeks of improving, and trying to put more effort into the server, we've made it habitable, and special. I will talk about why it is special, and how it has improved. If you are just like, "Eh. It's probably going to be more crap about another hl2rp server." If that's your reaction, than you can leave. But if you want to read what we have improved on, and give us a shot. I will describe it in the bottom for all of you. So whether you are here by coincidence, or chosen, or passing on to other threads. Welcome to RoleplayCantina, it's safer here.

    About the server:
RoleplayCantina is runned by one of the best companies in gaming platforms, named NuclearFallout. The server is fitted with a hyperaccelerating intel core that keeps the lag, and any server-side errors to waste. It is also fitted with it's own loadouts, websites, scripts, and not to mention some of the best coding to make the server run as good as it can. Now, about our server. RoleplayCantina is a 20-slot server, on the infamous gamemode by Cloud Sixteen, Half Life 2 Roleplay. Inside the server, you will find many oppurtunities for roleplay, and many chances for having a good time. If you wish to find out about some things that make us special, keep on reading below.[/color]

    Roleplay inside RoleplayCantina:
Roleplay inside RoleplayCantina is a very gruly experience. Inside, you could find yourself in the middle of an apartment raid, or a Metropolice Application Cycle from the fearless and intimidating Sectorial, or you could find yourself in curfew. Now, if your wondering what other types of roleplays are found in it, keep on reading below.

    Curfew:
Back in the old OA days, there was something called Curfew in a matter of fact. Curfew was were people were escorted or told to get into their apartments, and wait while they do a Massive Search Detail throughout the city. These lasted from 30 minutes, to a few hours. The thing that made this fun though, was that people actually got to passive RP, and express themselves indoor while this goes on. The best thing that happens during Curfew also, is that some might actually plan a way out, either from going out through a vent, or a window, or even a garbage chute!

    Application Cycles:
These are the times, when citizens rush to the Application Centre to apply for jobs, such as Janitors, UU Detectives, CWU, or even becoming part of the Metropolice Force. Application Cycles, however takes the best of your creativity, writing, and literature skills to the test. Whoever makes a better application, is usually picked by the HRO or High Ranking Officer. The roleplay advantage of this, is that you feel the elements of applying for a job. Stress, Hope, Depression, and thinking what you did wrong, and right! This isn't one of our 'special' things, but these are a huge factor in roleplay.

    Apartment Raids:
Remember in Half Life 2, when your rushing through the huge apartment building, while CP chase you through every room, and corner? Well. Guess what? Those are also here! Apartment Raids is a uncommon event, but actually happens quite often due to some lunatic dropping contraband, and a loyalist or someone in hope of getting Loyalist Points calling in a request. Once that happens, you better hope you don't have any contraband, because everything they find in a Apartment Raid is treated 2x higher than your normal verdicts! You have any soda, or Non-UU Foods? Times that by two, and you earned yourself a Level 2 Verdict! That's the best thing about Raids. They keep you in line, and do a reality check on you, saying, "Hey. You can't hide anything for too long."

    Inspections:
Inspections in a way, are like the Apartment Raids, except everything isn't times by two, and they don't use lethal force when shooting open your locks, and pulling out drawers and secret compartments. Inspections are a 'passive' way of checking your apartment for contraband, and or YOU. So, just like above. Don't get caught, and don't think you can hide anything for TOO long!

    D6 Entry:
This is one of our Special oppurtunities on the server. District 6 is a small concieled area, that people can get into with the right papers. D6 is a place usually where you don't see the MPF patrolling anywhere. In-fact, in D6 your practically trusted that you won't do any crap. But then, there is that one thing they plant into D6 to just make sure you don't do anything stupid. These are those famous Ceiling Cameras. :D | District 6 Entry is a very rare oppurtunity, so when you hear that loudspeaker go off, and or dispatch saying that the District 6 Checkpoint is open. You better have the right papers, and get the hell in there!

That is a small description of what goes on in RoleplayCantina. Intrigued by some of these? Want to give us a try? Go ahead. But I'm barely finished. I still have many more stuff to talk about below!

    Custom Content for RoleplayCantina:
We have a small amount of special content we have on RoleplayCantina that makes your Roleplay more interesting. Want to find out what those are? Read below.

    -The Board:
Instead of a person always talking over the dispatch, the Union has installed a Board(usually by the closet CWU HQ) for Citizen's purposes. This board is filled with information that could give you benefits, job oppurtunities, and not to mention more tokens! This is a good way to get some more roleplay oppurtunities for Citizen, and not to mention for more Passive RP. Who knows, you might also find a smuggling oppurtunity here, and there. :p

    -Vintage Wine & Regular Wine:
Ever wanted to know what the most expensive item is on the black-market? Find a tinted bottle, with some liquid in it, and an old date? Well, you might've found or just heard about Wine. Wine is a HUGE deal on RoleplayCantina. This is what can get you fame, riches, your own business, or even a title! Wine can be sold for more than a few thousand tokens! It you find anything before 1990's, you probably found a Vintage Bottle of Wine! Wine is one of the most searched for item, you could ever hope to find. Just like in Borderlands 1 and 2, the Vault is the most searched for item on Pandora. IN America during the Gold Rush, Gold was the most searched for item! On RoleplayCantina, Wine is just like that!

-Non-UU Foods: (Canned Soup, Purified Water, Beans, Headcrab Meat, etc.)
After a few minutes of coding, and prepping. I thought of the good idea, of having not just a few Non-UU Foods, but a variety of foods. These few items, are just for more Resistance and Scavenging Roleplay for the Server. So if you find anything thing like this, savor it, for it's better than any ration you could get.

    -Scavenging Oppurtunities
Through-out the server, you may find crates, and or boxes that might have a special little something in it. If you do find it, you can find wires, scrap metal, casings, and maybe even something extra rare! Though, this comes with a price. Hour cool-down from scavenging stuff. This is a privelledge, not a burden. This is mostly for Resistance Roleplay, but who knows, you may even find stuff that could develope your character, from a broken watch, some glasses you fixed up, or even more!

    Conclusion:
You have just witness a improved version of RoleplayCantina. If you don't want to join after this, that's fine. But if you found the thread intriguing, be sure to try us out. It's a good server, and I'd suggest you try it out sometime. Remember one thing though, "Roleplaying is like acting. And Acting is what makes up movies, games, ideas, and plays! Without acting or creativity, we wouldn't have garrysmod or Cloud Sixteen or anything like that. So be respectful of other people's characters, just because they have something different doesn't mean it's bad. It gives them a chance to express themselves, and their feelings through roleplay!" -Gamepro

Thread is OK. There are quite a bit of grammatical errors, and you structure your sentences strangely.

Anyways, I think you should add the server's canon to this thread as well, to give us a better idea on how roleplay is, well, "played" out.

I'll come back on sometime today and update my post with ingame information.

    Thread: 6/10
    Experience: To-be-determined

At the time I was on, the server was very unprofessional. Nobody was RPing at all.

I was assured by Mitch that it's not always like this. So I'll be back later to judge it again.
