Factions
In XENOBOLT we have the standard factions with a few exceptions to the rules when it comes to the UNION Hierarchy, we want the player base to be comfortable with these following factions by keeping it very simple.
Metropolice Force: The Metropolice Force is comprised of four divisions, UNION, HELIX, VICE and JURY. Instead of having a Sectorial Commander we elected to have a Commander which is in charge of the Force and have our Civil Administrator be the over watcher of the city in which we stay.
UNION: UNION is practically the basic division which holds most of the units, they are used for the basic tasks which are needed to keep the city in order, eg: patroling, taking part if clamping hardpoints, etc.
HELIX: HELIX is our take on the medical division which deals with either fatal and minor wounds as well as deceased units, they rarely help citizens in need of medical attention and mostly stick to medical attention towards the Force. They are also used for basic tasks but generally stick to their MED-BAY in which they attend to injured units, we hope to have very good MedicalRPers playing as HELIX units to further enhance the roleplay atmosphere.
VICE: VICE is the engineering/mechanics divisions, they create and manage all the technological systems within the city, they have access to CCTV which is scattered around the city and other mechanical structures/tools.
JURY: JURY is comprised of the most ruthless units in the Metropolice Force, their job is the torture, interrogate and manage the detainees within the city. This division is not only comprised of ruthless units but also the most elite at their job and are mostly used for managing the detainees within the nexus unlike all the other divisions.
Civil Workers Union: Our civil workers union are a group of individuals who are loyalists to the UNION and are used towards citizen problems such as; medical needs, merchant needs as well as being the 'eyes and ears' for the UNION, the civil workers union receive bonus benefits which could be easily abused. The Force keeps a close eye on these individuals in case they use their privileges to abuse the inner city structre.
Citizens: Citizens are the biggest part of the server and are the most flexible to roleplay with, you could be a loyalists or the kind of individual who hates the oppression before them. There is an endless array of possibilities to keep the player entertained. We attempt to keep citizens entertained by also having a various amount of in game events which can change the life of your citizen around as well as the surrounding environment in which they live in.
Overwatch Transhuman Arm: The Overwatch Transhuman Arm, are an elite group of soldiers that are only used during extreme circumstances. These individuals are elite at their job, ruthless and somewhat unstoppable. They are practically machines which take orders from their HC units. We rarely want to use the Overwatch because it takes away some of the roleplay situations for our units, but still keep them on the side in case of thrill seeking events.
We will also add more factions into the server in the future such as; Vortigaunts and Non-Human characters from zombies all the way to UNION tools such as scanners and others. These factions excluding the vortigaunts will be used minimally and only in events which they are needed, just like the overwatch.

MPF with no variation/change/uniqueness at all? Check.
The descriptions you've put on each faction and their 'role' says you've either never played HL2 series, or have simply made up some idea of the various attempts at RP in previous roles on servers. Because it's all wrong and generic and cringe.

Newsflash: Doesn't matter where your server is based. Ping or latency doesn't really factor in at all in HL2RP. Those that complain about it doing so are really just patriots and feel that a server in 'their' country somehow makes it more authentic than a server that has even remotely decent hardware. Cool on catering for a specific audience, but there's unfortunately a reason nobody else sits in that range, and rightfully so.
Looking over this, i see nothing new, nothing different, nothing unique.
Do you know what that tells us? That this is simply a server thrown up by people that want 'to be admin' or 'to have power'. Because you can get the same stock-standard-bullshit in just about every other server, infact in most cases even something
better because they atleast attempt to maybe put a small spin on things, some lore or some customisation, even if it is just a shitty font change or colour of the text in the tab menu, because evidently that means 'custom' nowadays.
In summary, there's nothing here. At all. I don't say this in the expectation that everyone will be amazing to start, as everyone starts somewhere, but when you get a group of people that are put as staff because they feel like theyre important and they want to 'spawn gunz and kill combenz' it's kind of like, why not just play sandbox and RP there?
Your forums is terrible, i mean using a pirated software just makes you look desperate, atleast SMF is respectable and modest whereas outright just throwing a pirated software onto your community is cheap, tacky and just pathetic.
Seems like it's another one of those 'overnight' servers that simply came to fruition because some kid got permabanned due to abusing or that they feel they're preferable to a simple/basic/low standard of RP.
Calling yourself a 'serious' HL2RP server is just degrading and cringeworthy. You have zero structure, zero real effort, zero anything, and you think people are going to think "Wow, a serious HL2RP server, lets give that a go, they obviously have it all figured out!"
Too many times you see people simply put 'Serious HL2RP' | NEED MPF, LOOKING 4 ADMINS, just to get people to go there.
You'll get darkRPers looking for a quick raise in status, and before you know it you're further down the foodchain than you started.
