Yet another mySQL problem I face.

    After downloading the recent patch for HL2RP. I applied it for my server, setting everything up. Serial, small codes for the MPF that were set back to default. The usual.

    After getting it all ready I went in to test it to see if anything changed that I should fix. Well. To my suprise, mySQL gives me the error "The server has encountered a problem connecting to mySQL".

    I tried logging into mySQP page on phpMyAdmin, but alas, it wont let me log in. So I go to check all of my settings, everything is legit. Clockwork is set up perfectly to mySQL. So I thought maybe my password was reset to default because my server providers recently tweaked mySQL on Christmas day. But that wasn't it. I changed my password back to what I originally had it at, and it still wouldn't work. I still couldn't even log into phpMyAdmin!

    So I guess my question is, do you guys know what to do to help me with this?
    Or even better, was there anything in the recent update for HL2RP that messes with mySQL that I was not aware of?

    My server is unplayable ATM. And I just got done setting up a huge event that was supposed to change everything, and people were excited. And now it failed. Please help.

    To top it all off, my server wont start anymore.

    I am really tied here. I cant tell if its Clockwork or my provider. Both are screwing up. I cant get into my server ever since I added that patch, but ever since I added that patch I cant access mySQL which isnt directly connected to HL2RP.

    Im confused.

    Try looking at your console.log (by adding -condebug to your command line) it usually tells you why it failed to connect.

    Thats the other problem. Console.log was not found in my server when I checked.

    Check clockwork.cfg because when you installed it it might of over righted the clockwork.cfg over the old one, what I mean the new update had clockwork.cfg with it and when you installed it it properly over righted the clockwork.cfg you had all the database details in.

    Well I just got word that mySQL is down for everyone with my provider. They are putting up new game servers and need to edit them. So the fact that its down isnt a shock anymore.

    But what I still don't get is why my server wont show up anymore. I'm thinking its because I had to re-enter my serial code again? Does that break it? Or is it not that at all, because even sandbox wont start apparently.

    I sent in a support ticket to have my console.log replaced. So I should have more information soon.
