first time I went to my local airsoft field I brought my cheap ass scarh-h, destroyed a dude with a polarstar and he broke my gun, it's def a fun spot

 

I hope he didn't break it on purpose, if so those people don't deserve to play airsoft and hopefully he got banned! Those kind of people are a minority and most of the time the people are really nice, or atleast the fields I go to.

 

yeah he did it on purpose-he was mad his 1000$ polarstar couldnt beat a generic air rifle, he then full auto'd a kid for not calling his hit(the kid was like 10 and it was for a birthday party) and then got banned from the arena, everyone def is very nice aside from the few assholes, I've always wanted to go to one of the major mil-sim events but I never have enough to pay for tickets+ travel

 

I wanna save up for some Russian Army gear and head over to Milsim west.

Anything you'd recommend for face protection? Heard nasty stories about people getting teeth chipped, and a few stories about people getting BB's up the nose. Something i'd like to avoid personally...

 

wear a paintball mask or an air mask.

Or just keep your eyes, mouth and nose clipped closed the whole time.

 

I've seen a video of a kid getting a bb stuck inside his cheek so i'd always wear full face protection even though its unlikely it will happen. I would recommend this setup tbh:

It's abit pricey, you can get cheaper Chinese copies which do the job though and it's much more comfortable than masks and you can aim down sights easily with this setup.

You can also drink with this setup which you can't with full facemasks

I have yet to get a new battery, and the compartment is so fucking tiny. Likewise, I don't have anywhere to play around here. Fuckin' blows, man.

EDIT: went to the local airsoft shop today and added a scope and bought 2 new mags for my pistol and a scope protector as my old one broke.

 

Bought a new airsoft gun - G&G Firehawk
going to use this for CQB, what do you guys think?

 

friend of mine had one of those. theyre super loud and easy to use. fairly durable and really customizable. pretty good gun

 

ive always wanted to get into the stuff, never bothered to hash out the cash as a lowly college student though

Yeah it is very loud which I like, hopefully it will make the enemy fear me a bit especially since I am using it indoors so it will be even louder.

I am a university student, but you don't really need to spend a lot to get into airsofting and you don't have to buy it all in one go. You can just buy the gun and a face mask and you are pretty much good to go, oh and some bb's but they are really cheap compared to paintball or real steel for that matter! Or you can rent a gun and mask just to see if you like it before you buy stuff.

That sucks D: maybe you just haven't found something that's near, you'd be surprised. I've been airsofting for a few years now and I didn't realise this airsoft site (The one I just went to) was there until a couple weeks ago. 15 minute drive from me but before it use to be 40-50 minute drive.
