NOTE: This is an idea, it has not been put into place, yet. User feedback will help get it going and how it will go.​

Welcome, to my hall of fame. This will be a server and community dedicated to only the best rolepalyers around. The gamemode will most likely be HL2RP, since that is the only schema I own, but depending on user feedback, another gamemode may be chosen.

HOW TO BE CHOSEN​

To be chosen, you must show outstanding roleplaying on any server. At random times, me or another designated recruiter, will hop server to server in search of outstanding roleplayers. Those who show extreme skill and passion for roleplaying among other outstanding roleplayers, will receive special notice and benefits.

Once chosen, you will receive a special password to unlock the server, and join. If the server becomes popular, and people try to spread the password to unworthy players or minges, a special key will be given as well. This key will be once, and the player must present their key to an administrator. The process of keeping track of this, is not yet decided. Once the key is used, it will be checked, and anyone attempting to reuse the key, will be kicked/banned.

THE PROBLEMS​

Of course, like any other idea, there are major problems. For instance, many players may try to fight over RP styles, and who is a better roleplayer. This I don't expect to happen often. Also, sometimes having all outstanding roleplayers can make things a little strange. Most players are used to dealing with fa minges, leaving this is a good thing, but can also cause bad things. And of course, the most common problem among the RP servers, the rules. Many will have different choices on Rp styles, gue on it. This is where the user feedback will come in.

Don't Like the idea spefically because, I mean, Professional roleplayers are scarce these days....sadly.

 

I'm not in favor of this idea. I agree with the words said by Mitch, and apart from that, HL2RP has just become a powerstruggle these days. There is in NO way in hell possible to find ANYTHING possible, inbetween that. You get no clear view of the person's qualities, when it's only a power struggle. I mean, for crying out loud... Just look at LemonPunch... (No means to be insultive or anything)

Sounds like some elitist plan to kill off role-play, how would our passion live on if we block out new users and inexperienced users? This may be just one server but still, the plan is atrocious.

 

You going from server to server and stealing communities members... That is something that might get you banned on probably most of the servers you even attempt to join. I know if you join my server and try to do this, I will ban you instantly.

 

Yes a power-struggle like vonel said, everyone want's to be cp, nobody even attempts to passive anymore, the condition of clockwork, Honestly, is bad.

 

I passive, and I absolutely hate playing as Civil Protection. To me, the good RP is in the Resistance or regular citizen.

 

Agreed, I prefer passive than "Oh my god it's a citizen let's whack him with a stunstick"

 

CP roleplay is utter shit. I love playing as a Rebel because it is much easier to Passive RP and build relationships without getting beat and being told "GET BACK TO WORK, UNIT!"
I've even tried a "Civil Protection" approach from the hit machinima, Civil Protection. (Two CPs being fucking hilarious) and no server allows this. RP is disappointing.

 

I know which series you mean, funny as hell.

Did it multiple times on my own server, and allowed it.

 

Thanks for all the feedback. And I see what you are all saying. And I never thought of the stealing community members. That would be a problem, and is pretty much a dick move. Again, still just a concept. And yes roleplay has kind of dumbed down, unfortunately...
